Advantages: lovely countryside, nice people Disadvantages: quite expensive
...a basin with orphaned seals, every child's delight ;-).
Onwards, to SKAGEN.
Skagen used to be an artists' colony about 100 years ago, as the light there is very special (and makes for some nice photographs, too). Still nice is the small marina and several very good seafood-restaurants.
About 5 km North of Skagen is GRENEN.
This is the northernmost point of Denmark, where the Baltic and the North Sea join. Stand and watch the Oceans meet, it's fascinating.
Soooo ... still think Copenhagen is Denmark and Denmark is Copenhagen? Most definitely not.
*Travel*
Aha, but the places I have described require a lot of driving? Well, yes and now. Depending whether you are staying in one place or camping in different locations, the journeys are not too long.

Advantages: cheap, quiet, clean and well-located, friendly and helpful staff Disadvantages: hardly luxurious! Noise from trams if at the front
...is quiet, and clean, and this hotel was one of the first in the Accor chain to go fully non-smoking. The room is also basic - it is en suite with a shower over the bath, it has a TV with 15 or so channels, the only one in English of which is BBC World.
The big advantage is that the tram (line B) stops right outside the door, while walking to Petit France or the Cathedral take about 10 minutes. There are multi-storey car parks nearby, and some on-street parking, although watch out for the restrictions due to the street market on Wednesdays.
The staff are friendly. Their English is more than adequate, although I generally speak to them in French.
Currently, they are having work done on the ground floor, which will improve the breakfast room and reception. Breakfast costs extra, but I tend to grab something en route to the office...

Advantages: Very close to the Puerta Del Sol and Gran Via. Disadvantages: None
...I booked our short break through Expedia, who are always good at finding the best deals. Neither myself nor my husband had been to Madrid before, so we had no knowledge of the city at all. I researched the layout mapwise, to find out where the centre was regarding shopping, bars etc. The Puerta del Sol seemed as central as we could get.
The hotel was on the Via Arenal, just off the square. On arrival we were greeted in good English by a very friendly receptionist and the check-in was smooth. The hotel was bright and modern. Not huge, but for a city centre it was big enough. There was a lift to all floors luckily, as we were on the 5th. Our room was large and airy. Satellite TV, air conditioning (a blessing in July), large double bed, plenty of storage and a wall safe. The bathroom was clean and roomy with one of those...

My impressions of this game when I saw it advertised on the internet was that it looked like a completely different type of game that I'm used to seeing for the DS.
