We stayed in this hotel in February 06 when visiting Pisa
The main drawback, it has to be said straight away, is the location. It's about 10 minutes by bus outside the main town of Pisa. There is a bus which stops right outside the hotel about every 15 minutes and tickets can be bought from the reception desk, so this did not put us off and didn't cause any problems for us while we were there. If you are willing to travel for a great hotel, then this is it! I believe that there is a shuttle bus during peak months into the centre of Pisa.
This four star hotel has 55 double rooms, and 2 junior suites. 2 of the double rooms have disabled facilities. The rooms are large and ours had a double bed, large desk, satellite television, mini bar (which was very reasonably priced!!), large bathroom which is well lit, wardrobe, easy chair. The room was clean and had laminate flooring throughout, it was extremely comfortable and seemed to have about 6 different methods and settings of lighting which was a bit perplexing, but perfect for creating an atmosphere!
The hotel reception was incredibly friendly and couldn't help us enough with our queries, from helping you with tourist queries, selling you bus tickets and advising on route to just been generally very friendly!
There is a small bar which you can have your evening drink at, this is well stocked with local and international drinks and is a decent price compared to some of the bars in central Pisa!
Breakfast was the typical continental buffet breads, rolls, cereal, ham and pastries. Some hot food was also available in the form of scrambled egg, toaster, bacon and sausages. A very pleasing breakfast indeed!
There was nothing in the hotel by way of leisure facilities, but lets face it - you're in Pisa and you really don't want to miss exploring the city!
A definite recommendation for value for money, easy to find on search engines.
Something must have gone right on this holiday as I came back with a ring on my finger!!!
Make sure that you are aware of the bus times coming back to the hotel - although we just called a cab from whichever bar or restaurant we were in to take us back and the hotel were more than happy to call us a cab when we were heading out.
Rooms were tidied and cleaned everyday.
