Advantages: Friendly staff, quick email replies, website in English, 24 hours access, located at the seafront Disadvantages: kettle would have been nice especially for people who decide to stay for longer periods.

I would not say Calais is a great holiday destination as we all know it is not, but if you are looking for a place to stay overnight and then get ahead with your journey, I don't think there is a better place than Hotel du Golf in this price range. Rooms are spacious and feel fresh, with TV, fridge, stove and a microwave. WiFi internet connection throughout the building. Staff is nice and helpfull.
Hotel itself is located right at the seafront, so as you may expect there are restaurants around. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the town centre, meaning no need to drive which is good especially if you want to enjoy local nightlife.
