Advantages: Beautiful dining room Disadvantages: Bedrooms adequate but not elegant.
We stayed at the HôtelRestaurant La Flambée in Bergerac in November 2008 for two nights and enjoyed breakfast and dinner. What follows is an honest account as possible about the hotel as I can provide. Hopefully this may help if you are planning to visit this part of the world.
We flew to Bordeaux but the most convenient airport for the hotel is actually in Bergerac as the hotel lies about 2 miles outside the town. Incase you are not familiar with this part of the world these places are in the main wine growing areas, and are in South West France. of the hotels.
Ballater has 9 hotels, 8 guest houses, 9 B&Bs, 25 self catering sites, 2 campsites, 2 caravan sites but no hostels. You could always phone her majesty if you get stuck, I?m sure she?d have a spare room at Balmoral to ?shack up?!!

Ballater has 17 restaurants; some are listed below, one bank with an ATM, one Post Office & a medical centre.
The biggest events in Ballater include Victoria week, Ballater Highland Games (The Queen attends the Breamar games in September) & Royal Deeside walking week.
