Hôtel Restaurant La Flambée -dine in style but bedrooms plain.

Advantages: Beautiful dining room
Disadvantages: Bedrooms adequate but not elegant.

We stayed at the Hôtel Restaurant La Flambée in Bergerac in November 2008 for two nights and enjoyed breakfast and dinner. What follows is an honest account as possible about the hotel as I can provide. Hopefully this may help if you are planning to visit this part of the world. We flew to Bordeaux but the most convenient airport for the hotel is actually in Bergerac as the hotel lies about 2 miles outside the town. Incase you are not familiar with this part of the world these places are in the main wine growing areas, and are in South West France. Flying time from the UK is about an hour and a half if you are flying from the London areas. Easyjet will take you to Bordeaux from Luton, likewise British Airways will fly you from Gatwick, and Ryanair will fly you from Stansted to Bergerac. Oh La La debmercury stays in Hotel Bellevue Paris

Advantages: Excellent location and good value for money
Disadvantages: Not suitable for disabled people

looking for glitz and glam this is not the hotel for you. But if you are looking for a base to explore Paris and you want a really clean room , cheerful service and really good value for your money then this place is for you. The Bellevue as I have already stated is in an excellent location, rooms and reception are very clean but basic and we found the continental breakfast was a great start to the day. Reception staff are multi-lingual and very friendly they will help you in any way they can ( we had to ask for directions a couple of times and for more coathangers for our wardrobe but nothing was a problem). Breakfast staff where also very friendly and happy. The only downsides I can think of is the hotel does not have a restaurant or a bar, but there are lots of bars and cafes close by. Review of Bellevue Hotel, Paris

Mostly Shangri, just slightly LaLa

Advantages: Good size room, good food, good service
Disadvantages: Badly set up writing desk

So there we were, in Jakarta for a couple of days. It was our first time in Indonesia and I had no idea where to stay. Normally I would aim for a Sheraton or a Hilton - not Intercontinental any more since their loyalty programme refused to reward my 100+ nights of loyalty and didn't care. However, we recently had very good stays at Shangri Las in Singapore and Hong Kong and I was able to get a good rate at the Shangri La Jakarta, so we decided to give it a try.
