Advantages: Location in Rincon de Loix near Levante Beach Disadvantages: Noise from surrounding bars - but that's Benidorm!

The Riudor is one of those sort of "standard" Benidorm hotels. The Location is rather good, its listed as being on the Avenida Mediterraneo, but that's only the address, the swimming pool area fronts onto the Avenida, whilst the real entrance is towards the back of the hotel in a small passageway there.

Levante Beach is only a few minutes walk, and most rooms at the hotel have some sort of sea view through the buildings from each of the hotel balconies.
Bus stops into the Old Town and out of Benidorm are about 120 mteres and 160 metres away, turn right out of the hotel down the passage to the Avenida.

There is a medium sized bar serving the lounge area, and this "doubles" as dance floor, bingo hall and cabaret spot evenings. Entertainment is very average for Benidorm, there are some cabaret artistes from the circuit on three or so evenings per week, and there is Bingo [by the staff] for those interested, and then some CD's get stuck on for anyone who might want to dance a bit.
Don't expect a fabulous all-spotlights hotel here, 'cos you won't get it! The Riudor is aimed fairly and squarely at the Brit market and caters for those of reasonable age and tastes, it's not a lager lout paradise, more a comfy and a bit quaint older hotel. It probably needs (and will likely get) a refurbishment to bring it up to date, and will lose its character in the process.
Staff are friendly and accomodating, and seem to like seeing you having a good holiday here. They seem to have time to say hello to kids, and respect for those who respect them. The hotel is kept clean and tidy, and what more do you want on holiday?
In the surrounding area, there's more than enough for most people in the way of cabaret bars, pubs and restaurants if you fancy a meal out. The Old Town is few minutes away by bus, or walk through the rest of the Rincon area for karaoke, entertainment and cabaret everywhere.

A downside is of course that the Riudor can be noisy from outside influencees like karaoke bars and fun pubs, but hey! that's Benidorm, who goes for a quiet time, eh?
Good value for money for long stay winter holidaymakers, see what you can get from Thomsons, they seem to be the main operators using this hotel, if not the only Brit opreator using it
Advantages: Other places away from Benidorm were lovely! Disadvantages: Benidorm!
day we saw and heard drunken British folk by mid-afternoon- to say they were "rowdy" is me being polite!
We had a car and did a lot of sightseeing in the surrounding area and it's true to say that there are some lovely places to see but they're all away from Benidorm itself, but are well-worth exploring.
Back to Benidorm though and if you stay in the new town known as Levante around the hotels like The Riudor, The Ambassador, the Marina etc, I can see why people might like going there for a holiday, not that the hotels themselves are great, but it's certainly well lit at night, with plenty of bars and shops. Its also fairly reasonably flat and close to the beach. However, If you're unlucky enough to be up the hill or even just a few streets away from the Levante area (beware that many tour operators say you're close to Levante) then ...
