Mr Tart and myself recently went to the Loire Valley for a short chateaux tour. We wanted to stay somewhere that would be in the middle so that we could get easy access to all the many chateaux that I wanted to see so we settled on Tours as our base. We trawled through a few review sites and eventually settled on the HotelTrianon.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located at 57 Avenue Grammont. The street is one of the main roads through Tours and is therefore fairly easy to find. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the old town which is where the main restaurant and tourist areas are but this was easy enough. There were also plenty of restaurants and amenities on the same street so you don?t need to go into the old town if you don?t want to (although it is worth the walk). The main advantage we found with the location of this hotel ...
Advantages: Cheap, comfortable Disadvantages: No factilities
People mention Italy, you think of Roma with it?s beautiful architecture, it?s Roman heritage, the Vatican. You think of Milan, the height of fashion, you think of Ferrari, you think of hills, lakes, the beach. Then you get Latina!
Latina is a city about 75Km south of Roma, on the western side of Italy. The city itself was built in the 1930?s by Mussolini, to give people work, so there is no real heritage there, it is fairly plain, and functional.

** Where is it?**
The Rosehotel is situated at the Southern end of the city in Via die Volsini, just off of the Via dei Monti Lepini. It is fairly easy to find, you just follow the inner ring road (it helps if you can drive like a maniac, give no signals ...
Advantages: Cheapness and close to amenities Disadvantages: No bar in the hotel
Recently stayed at this hotel and I found it in a very good location. I personally think that people that visit Amsterdam head straight to stay around Dam Square area. We stayed in the Museum Quarter and found it much easier to get out and about to areas in Amsterdam other than Dam Square as the tram and canal bus were all in a 5 minute walk of this hotel aswell as the Reiksmuseum which was 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel itself was cloase to the Leidersplein Square where there was lots of street entertainment and was very relaxed and not busy at all.
The hotel itself was of a good standard for a 2 star the only thing I would say is not to stay on the top floor of the hotel as it was very noisy with the lift and also the stairs were very steep so wouldnt be suitable fo rthose with walking difficulties. All rooms were ...
