located in the heart of Paris in one of the city's liveliest "quartiers", just down the street from the famed Moulin Rouge where the French Cancan portrayed by Toulouse Lautrec, has thrilled visitors to Paris since the "Belle Epoque". Many of the rooms have a spectacular view of the Sacré-Coeur and Montmartre. The lobby, once a popular cabaret "Le Don Juan", preserves the charm and spirit of the 1930's with its original wood panelling and theatrical decor. The hotel has preserved its authentic character while offering every modern comfort. Warm hospitality and thoughtful service and assistance will make your stay a pleasant one. Start the day with fresh Parisian croissants served in your room or in the breakfast room. Relax in the "grand salon" and enjoy a cup of tea after a day's touring, or sip an "apéritif" at the bar before going out to dine in one of the neighbourhood restaurants.
Advantages: Lots to see and do, the metro, Disadvantages: Eating out can be expensive, everyone else is there too (everyone loves Paris)
...she moved to Norway and this time we spent more time in the city and we had a chance to see a lot. So based on this it goes without saying that Paris has a special place in my heart.
I'm a bit "nervous" when it comes to making this trip report. Other than Rome and London, I guess Paris is one of the classical destinations that many people end up visiting at one point in their lives. I hope that people will find this trip report both helpful and entertaining.
Planning the trip
When the special offer from SAS came along we decided to go for it. The ticket were "only" about 170 € per person and we would fly SAS' new direct flight from Stavanger to Paris. The standard challenge when going on a trip like this is finding out which hotel to use. The last time we ended up at a hotel near Place de la Republique but this time we ended up...

Advantages: Great location, good value for money & nice food Disadvantages: Horrible bathrooms
...For my 21st Birthday my boyfriend and I were planning to go to London to get my Birthday present. We decided to drive down which I though would be too long to drive there and back on the same day so we opted to drive down the night before and book into a hotel. So the day before (the night we wanted to stay) I spent 3 hours trawling the Internet looking for somewhere suitable.
It was quite difficult really, as we needed somewhere that wasn't too bad but in a good area close to the tube. At the last minute all the decent hotels were full which left a lot of 2 star hostel type hotels, which had some pretty horrible reviews.
After a painful time I finally came across the Royal National Hotel which seemed half decent well there wasn't reports of rooms being ransacked put it that way.

Advantages: Luxurious hotel, great facilities Disadvantages: Very pink and expensive!
...Disneyland ParisHotel
I must admit that the (VERY!!!!) pink Disneyland ParisHotel was not my first choice when visiting Disneyland Paris recently as it did look a bit girlie for me! I have been to DP a few times before and stayed at the Hotel new York which I have always thought was a great hotel. however, in the spirit of compromise I agreed to stay at the Disneyland ParisHotel!
The hotel appears to me to be themed on a grand Victorian Floridian style hotel and is very grand. Having stayed at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Walt Disney World which this hotel is based on it is neither as large nor grand but more whimsical and fits in very well in Disneyland Paris.
The rooms:
The rooms are very elegantly decorated in pale pastel colours and our room featured a massive double bed but I know that rooms for four...
