Thanks to our restoration works and new image, our hotel has become one of Lugo?s most emblematic buildings and a point of reference for both the city and its visitors. It offers 36 bedrooms, all fully and equipped with an exterior view, Café, restaurant, conference room, and garage.
Advantages: Absolutely stunning hotel and area Disadvantages: It's a bit tricky getting in and out of the hotel after midnight
...It is utterly beautiful, half of the hotel is the original hotel building and the other half further back is much more modern. We stayed in the more modern section of the hotel.
The bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom was lovely, there was a shower over the bath, and the bath itself was very big and deep. The room was very clean and pretty and we had our own little balcony with a couple of chairs on it.
As we stayed on a half board basis breakfast and dinner were included. The restaurant itself was very nice, it had a classy but relaxed atmosphere and the food was served as a buffet. There was quite a lot of options, but vegetarian options were a bit basic.
I would definately reccomend this hotel as it is stunning and ideal for exploring the area. I definately reccomend renting a car however, as otherwise getting around could...

...part of airtours cruise & stay programme.where the cruise is 1st class , the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. the food is poor & the hotel is understaffed.children over the age of 12 are unsupervised & this leads to a lot of minor vandalism etc. this hotel is unsuitable for anyone looking for a quiet rest after a cruise that includes a lot of excursions.as i mentioned before the cruise (sunbird) could not be faulted but this is a hotel aimed at the market at the opposite end to people who want to cruise , sorry to sound snobbish but that's the way it is. it should be pointed out in the brochure....

...I went on holiday to SanPedrode Alacantara several years ago and stayed in the hotel Cortijo Blanco. It was a hotel we had seen on TV Travel Shop, as it was one of their top 10 holiday destinations.
LOCATION
The hotel is situated in the small spanish village of sanpedrode alacantara, which as said by the holiday rep is "untouched by tourism, other than the McDnalds!". The village is around a 15 minute walk from the hotel, however within only a 5 minute walking distance, within sort of a mini village there are some small shops and bars as well as a little supermarket. In the village there are shops and bars and it has to be said that some of the tapas bars there are amongst the best I have been in, and well worth a try. The village and area is very remote with not much else about but all the essentials are on site.
THE ROOMS...

My wife and I have just spent a week at the Castilla and have returned home very disappointed with the hotel itself and the concrete jungle in which it resides. To start with the pluses: The hotel is spotlessly clean - though we did find in our room a... more
A Beautiful hotel in a perfect location; central and just minutes away from the main sqaure. The hotel overlooks a very pretty canal and we had de-luxe rooms with canal views. Sumptuous rooms, plenty of space and every possible extra. Delicious... more
