Modern SantaFe in Context - An Editorial
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SantaFe is a small urban gem. Nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and surrounded by the haunting beauty of the high desert, it truly is a lovely small city--a city well worth visiting. In addition to being the state capital of New Mexico, SantaFe offers visitors marvelous museums, excellent restaurants, and the vitality of a vibrant artists' community. Its historic 17th-century Plaza still serves its original purpose well, providing an attractive and effective focus for much of the city's political, cultural, commercial, and religious activity.
So, why can't I embrace this lovely city? What's not to like? What's my problem? My problem is that the SantaFe of today, for all its very ...
I would assume they are located just to the left for ease of access as there is more room there and no steps to navigate.
After enjoying ...
Advantages: Value for Money Disadvantages: Basic Facilities, Restaurant
.
The free left luggage facility was handy for the last day. No problems or queues there. The check out was very straightforward we just had to drop the key off and the time you had to check out by was reasonable. We didn't visit the games room but there seemed to be quite a few arcade type games. The shop had quite a good range of souvenirs but was quite small and didn't seem to have much that you couldn't get at the shops in the parks.
There was a free shuttle bus every few minutes to the parks which was handy, and the SantaFe bus stops closest to the park which is handy. This was so convenient that we never walked to the parks but the journey was just a couple of minutes on the bus so it can't take very long to walk there.
All in all I thought the hotel was very good value for money and as we were only there 3 nights and both me ...
