Advantages: Lots to see and do Disadvantages: None
...journey on the train. On my last visit I purchased a four-day pass, which covered my journey to and from the airport plus unlimited use of the underground system in the city zone as well as my travel each morning to work, which is about half an hours ride out of Munich into ‘Zone 2’ of the train system. This four day pass covering Zones 1 and 2 only cost 14.80 euro (about 9.60GBP), the train staff all seemed to speak English, timetables are easy to understand and every single train was always on time. Our transport system certainly leaves a lot to be desired.
Finding a hotel to stay in Munich couldn’t be easier as there’s a great selection to choose from, many you’ll find on the internet or you could contact the tourist information in Munich who I’m sure you’ll find to be English speaking and most helpful and efficient.

Advantages: good price, good comfort Disadvantages: breakfast to expensive
...Travelling to Munich is well worth it. The city offers plenty of sights and other interesting things. You won't be able to see everything in only one day so you better stay an couple of nights.
As usual, hotel rooms are very expensive. But I can tell you a real good hotel for little money:
Stay at the ETAP Hotels. Prices vary from about 20 to 25 pounds per night excluding breakfast. Rooms look all the same, there's TV, toilet, shower and washing basin. You open your door with a code number and not a key.
There are two ETAP Hotels easy to be reached using public transport. One is in Munich East - take the underground train no. 1 to St. Querin Platz. The other is in the north of the city in Garching. Take the underground train no. 6 to Garching terminus.
I recommend to reserve the rooms in advance....
