It is only a 10 minute walk to the historic centre of Seville with all the sights of the city and the interesting shopping centre. There are several other small restaurants within a few hundred yards of the hotel making it difficult to know where to eat, with so much choice!

At present there is a building site next door, on one side, which could be noisy at times if your room happens to be on this side of the hotel. This is not a problem unless you plan to spend a good deal of time in your room during the day.
~Rooms~
We had three different bedrooms during our stay (but more of that later!). All of them were well decorated in red, stone and chocolate colours with dark wood furniture, good quality soft furnishings and comfortable beds. Each room had a large TV and a mini bar. The carpets were plush and clean. The rooms had large windows and efficient air conditioning systems (when working properly!). The bathrooms varied in size but all were ample and clean and modern. One room we occupied had two sinks and a separate room off, with loo and bidet. The others had everything in the bathroom. All bathrooms had a good shower over the bath and enough shelf space around the basins to accommodate wash bags and toiletries (something you don't always get!). There was a good supply of complimentary soap, shampoo, bath gel, razors, toothbrushes, shower caps, and tissues.
Our problems with the rooms were as follows:
Room 1- A TWIN. (even though we had asked for a double). However the hotel managed to change us to a double room next day when one came available.
Room 2- A DOUBLE. This was great, the biggest bedroom and bathroom with separate loo and two basins. There was a large wardrobe with plenty of hanging space and shelving, but……the phone didn't work, the internet connection didn't work, the safe locking system had a mind of it's own and the air conditioning kept breaking down. Needless to say, we complained and had the engineer out within 10 minutes. He fixed the problems and all seemed well. But….the air conditioning stopped again… and again…and again! After 4 trips over 4 days to complain about the air con (temperatures outside were up to 35 degrees so it was certainly needed) the hotel staff offered to upgrade us to a junior suite, so we accepted and moved again!
Room 3-A JUNIOR SUITE, was nice because we had a separate sitting room with a comfortable sofa and coffee table and occasional tables but the bedroom was smaller, the wardrobe was smaller and didn't have any space with enough depth to hang a skirt or even a mans jacket! The bathroom was smaller with only one basin, but it was light and airy due to a big glazed window.
~Leisure~
The hotel has a good swimming pool - only about 10meters long but enough for cooling off on a hot day. It is on the roof of the third floor and is clean, with sun loungers and umbrellas around the pool and more, plus tables and chairs on the surrounding terrace. In the summer there is a pool bar but this shut on October 1st, so despite the very hot weather when we stayed in the second week of October, the bar was closed.
The hotel has a gym, Jacuzzi and sauna which are all free for guests to use.
~Food~
We had several meals in the hotel. We tried the buffet breakfast but were a little disappointed and thought it not good value for money (13 euros per person) when you think how cheap it is to eat in Spain and compared to breakfasts of this type that we have had in other hotels. The buffet consisted of a limited variety of cereals with a selection of fresh, tinned and dried fruits plus a variety of yoghurts (no bio though). There were a selection of cold hams and sausage, smoked salmon and a small selection of not very exciting cheeses. The hot breakfast was only luke warm both times we tried it. It consisted of bacon, sausage, tomatoes and scrambled and fried eggs and was very mediocre. There were a fair selection of breads, croissants, pastries and rolls with preserves. There was a cook-your-own conveyer toaster which was very slow and we needed to put the bread through twice before it coloured at all. There were several types of fruit juices available but they weren't labelled and it was difficult to distinguish between them as they all looked the same colour! We decided that there was probably orange, pineapple and peach on offer but there may have been more! The coffee and tea was served by the waitress and both days we had to wait and then the coffee was tepid and we were not offered a refill after the first cup.
After two days of buffet breakfast we decided to try the cafeteria/ coffee lounge for breakfast and were much more impressed. For a total of 6.8 euros we shared 6 pastries and had 2 cups of very good cappacino. Much better value and a very pleasant ambience with a coffee bar, tables and chairs and sofas.
We thought we would try the hotel restaurant one evening and were very pleased with the meal which was good quality and interesting. The dining room is plush and classy but unfortunately we were the only people dining!! This did mean we got excellent service but there was very little atmosphere and it was a pity more people didn't use the facility. The prices were very fair for that sort of restaurant but with so much choice of places to eat nearby it is of course nice to try several different venues, many of which are very cheap, and we could understand why more people weren't eating in. There are several dining rooms in the hotel that are used to serve meals to groups travelling together, so the restaurant only seems to be used by guests travelling independently.
~Room Rates~
We did quite a bit of research before booking this hotel as the prices quoted on various websites differed greatly. We ended up booking our 9 night stay as a 2 night and a 7 night stay using 2 different websites as the prices varied so much from night to night on each site and this gave us the best deal. The average cost per room per night was £124, without breakfast. This sounds a lot but it was comparable to other hotels for the dates we needed, which included a Spanish bank holiday. Saying that, my partner had stayed in this hotel in August and paid £40 per night including breakfast, so prices do vary according to demand and bargains are available!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was conveniently situated and had free internet connection (a plus for us as this was primarily a business trip for my partner). The rooms were pleasant and very clean, with all required facilities. The swimming pool and terrace were both lovely and there were plenty of sunloungers. The staff were helpful and friendly and although we had a few problems they were for the most part, quickly rectified. Most of the reception staff spoke good English, some very good, and they were very happy to provide maps and directions to tourist sites and shopping areas.
If you can find a good price this is certainly a really good hotel for a stay in Seville.
