LakeGarda is a popular centre for watersports and there are plenty of opportunities for sailing, windsurfing etc. Mountain bikes are also available for hire. There are local tennis courts where racquets (rather ancient ones, in our case) are available to hire.
There are some pleasant walks among the steep, verdant terraces of the surrounding area, although it's a bit too hot for too much exertion. A shortish climb from our hotel took us up to the casa natale (birthplace) of local missionary and saint Daniele Comboni, where there is also an interesting museum dedicated to him and his work. This summer I went on a holiday to LakeGarda. I expected a small lake covered in trees. I was wrong. I reached the shore and immediately found myself staring at a vast expanse of water. It was a brilliant sight.
The water is clean, I went swimming in it. The beach dips gently into the water. It was warmer than the Camping San Francesco swimming pool! The only piece of advice I can give is to wear sandals or shoes in the water - there are a lot of big rocks!
Prepare to do the following:
* Jump off the pier
* Go Swimming
* Snorkel
* Hire a pedalo for £5 per hour or £8 for 2 hours! ...

The next day we had a meeting with our travel rep but we had to walk to a different hotel for this meeting, it was right on the lake front, which look really far on the map but it only tuck us 10 Minutes. the meeting with the rep was about verious trips such as Venice, Verona, Lake Tour etc. We booked most of them not realising when we walk back to the hotel there was a excursion office in the town that offer trips to water parks and theme parks, but we where still looking forward to our romantic trips to Venice and Verona. Do shop around before you booked trips the prices are roughly the same but you can find some more interesting trips to go on.
