A 4 stars going onto 3!!!!

A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I were looking for a good last minute holiday deal. We were proposed a week stay all-inclusive at the Sissi Bay hotel in Sissi in Crete at a good price (for the season!) and decided to go for it. We were very excited about the all inclusive deal as we?ve never be on one and we could imagine ourselves drinking and eating all day under the sunshine!!! The Hotel: The Sissi Bay hotel is meant to be a 4 stars hotel (as you will read later to my opinion the hotel was more a 3 stars than a 4!). It has 90 bedrooms, 2 pools with sunloungers, a restaurant and a pool bar. Review of Sissy Bay Hotel

Not a five star boutique hotel!

Advantages: Nice pool and small garden area. Within walking distance of village.
Disadvantages: Not a five start or even four. Dreadful dining room and food.

alone a five. The manager did ask us not to mention our change to a deluxe room as others might want to change as well! The dining room was basic, almost like our local supermarket cafe, in fact, the food was like our local supermarket cafe. We did not expect to eat fishfingers, beefburgers (with a posh name) and piza for supper! Although this hotel was a disaster for us when we complained about the noise we were offered another room straight away. I am just glad there was a spare room! The pool area was nice but it really irritated us to have to pay a euro per day to have a pool towel. In fact everything was an extra payment, the safe, the air con and heating, gym (not that you would want to use it anyway). I had a massage in a dark, dismal room littered with sandwiches and empoty plastic bottles. Not a good ambience but ...

Village Hotel & Leisure Club Swansea This was my first outing into Wales for some fifteen years. This hotel also was an excellent accomodation with great facilities. To the right of the hotel was a Starbucks and to the left was a pub. If one stays in Swansea this place can use this hotel for lazy relaxing days to use the facilities inside the hotel as well as using this hotel as a base to explore the area. We booked a twin room at this hotel, directly through the hotel's website. The hotel was located about ten to fifteen minutes from Swansea city Centre, as well as five minutes to the bay where there are loads of boats and a nice river. We arrived here by car which we found easy to find as it was near Swansea bay. Getting here is slightly more difficult as it requires a very reasonable thirty minute walk from Swansea rail ...
