Advantages: Nice hotel Disadvantages: Food and drinks
A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I were looking for a good last minute holiday deal. We were proposed a week stay all-inclusive at the SissiBayhotel in Sissi in Crete at a good price (for the season!) and decided to go for it. We were very excited about the all inclusive deal as we?ve never be on one and we could imagine ourselves drinking and eating all day under the sunshine!!!
The Hotel:
The SissiBayhotel is meant to be a 4 stars hotel (as you will read later to my opinion the hotel was more a 3 stars than a 4!). It has 90 bedrooms, 2 pools with sunloungers, a restaurant and a pool bar. The all-inclusive package includes breakfast buffet (07.00 ? 10.00), snacks all day by the pool, lunch (12.30 ? 14.30), afternoon tea (15.30 ? 17.00), dinner (18.00 ? 21.00) and drinks (draught soft drinks, draught beer, local spirit ...
Advantages: Nice pool and small garden area. Within walking distance of village. Disadvantages: Not a five start or even four. Dreadful dining room and food.

The dining room was basic, almost like our local supermarket cafe, in fact, the food was like our local supermarket cafe. We did not expect to eat fishfingers, beefburgers (with a posh name) and piza for supper!
Although this hotel was a disaster for us when we complained about the noise we were offered another room straight away. I am just glad there was a spare room!
The pool area was nice but it really irritated us to have to pay a euro per day to have a pool towel. In fact everything was an extra payment, the safe, the air con and heating, gym (not that you would want to use it anyway). I had a massage in a dark, dismal room littered with sandwiches and empoty plastic bottles. Not a good ambience but ...
Advantages: fantastic 4* hotel Disadvantages: don't go there in the week that they close!
sunbed each day, knowing that it will still be there. It is extremely safe there as well. Everybody leaves their cameras and money beside their sunbed knowing that it will not be touched.
BEACH

The beach of Fig Tree Bay is directly behind the hotel. You need to go down some steep steps to get to it. The beach provides changing rooms and showers. You need to pay for the sunbeds though. There is an extensive range of watersports from Stavros. There is a little island in the water which makes the beach feel a bit closed in and means that you are not looking out to vast endless water.
The beach has a minimal tide and shelves so that you walk down into the water quite quickly, however it is level for quite a way. The waves are minimal and the current is minimal.
