...rather hilly, it is a most interesting place to stay and with lots going on both through the day and in the evenings, of course StAnton comes to life in the winter wiht skiing being available for both the Novice and the Expert Skier.
StAnton is an excellent base from which to explore the rest of the Tirol, with the Kaunertal Valley, Italy, Lichtenstein, Switzerland and Germany all being within and easy day excursion by car, there are many chairlifts and cable cars around StAnton and regular tain service to Bregenz and Innsbruck.

...No no, not a Saint at all. Its a ski resort in Austria, one of the most famous there.
StAnton is in the Alps, about 90 minutes by road from Innsbruck, or 150 minutes from Zurich. It offers 260 kilometres of piste, 34 easy runs, 70 intermediate, and 30 advanced. These runs are spread across 4 main areas : St. Anton, The Rendl, Zurs and Lech, and are serviced by 81 lifts. StAnton and the Rendl are right next to the main town of StAnton Am Arlberg, on opposite sides of the valley, and a short, relatively cheap bus ride away over the Arlberg Pass are Lech and Zurs, which are connected by lifts as well as the bus.

Our destination, to be exact was York, and due to the sheer number of attractions available to us, we wanted a hotel reasonably central, or at least within walking distance of the few sights we wished to see.
After some extensive research, mostly through the designated York tourist board site, we came across the perfect hotel.
St Denys hotel, a small but very quaint hotel, housing 13 rooms only, but with it’s own parking...
