Piazza di Spagna. It is housed in a magnificent historic building that was constructed in 1880 and belonged to the Maronite Community of Rome until the year 2000. After painstaking restructuring work, lasting over a year, it has become the capital\'s most exclusive hotel. The light coloured wood panelling of the hall, the golden richness of the stuccoes, the fabrics colours, precious furniture and antique paintings are like brushstrokes that have turned the Splendide Royal into an enchanting and elegant hotel. At the centre of this famous metropolis, surrounded by panoramic vistas of pine trees and rooftops, the Hotel Splendide Royal marks the return of classic Roman opulence. The scent of lemon trees fills the air on the elegant terrace of the Hotel Splendide Royal. This lovingly restored hotel, opening in March 2001, is a beautiful addition to Rome\'s ancient skyline.

the grounds of the Villa Merlina, a 19th century villa known (1887) for its spectacular gardens. The owners, the Fedele family enlarged the existing structure and opened a 125-bed hotel, originally called the Hotel Splendide. The hotel soon gained a steady clientele among the wealthy Europeans who frequented this summer resort. In 1977 an Italian hotel company bought the hotel from the Fedele family and in 1983 they added a new wing with 53 guest rooms. Today it is known as Lugano\'s foremost hotel, with 96 guest rooms and a staff of 100 employees who provide meticulous personal service. The hotel inspires loyalty among its clients, more than half the guests here are usually repeat visitors. The influence of Italian culture is quite dominant in the city of Lugano, sitting on the shore of Lago di Lugano just across the lake from Italy. The area is now the largest resort in the Swiss canton of Ticino, as well as Switzerland\'s third-largest banking center.
Advantages: great location, cheap, nice rooms, excellent food Disadvantages: no parking, quite dated
...a great service with a smile. The only downside was that the tables were a bit too close together, but this wasn't that big a problem.
I have read a number of reviews about the Royal Albion and some have been not to complentary about it, complaing the décor was very dated and their stay was quite unpleasant. I however disagree with these views and thought the hotel to be perfectly adequate for a stay in Brighton. The location was excellent, the room nice and the food on offer was splendid. I would certainly recommend it and will be staying there again on my next trip to the south coast. The only problem with the hotel was that it doesn't have its own car park which would be a problem for elderly guests as it's a ten minute walk to the nearest car park and the parking is quite expensive, however this is a minor issue really. For a three star...

Advantages: Great location, good value for money & nice food Disadvantages: Horrible bathrooms
...For my 21st Birthday my boyfriend and I were planning to go to London to get my Birthday present. We decided to drive down which I though would be too long to drive there and back on the same day so we opted to drive down the night before and book into a hotel. So the day before (the night we wanted to stay) I spent 3 hours trawling the Internet looking for somewhere suitable.
It was quite difficult really, as we needed somewhere that wasn't too bad but in a good area close to the tube. At the last minute all the decent hotels were full which left a lot of 2 star hostel type hotels, which had some pretty horrible reviews.
After a painful time I finally came across the Royal National Hotel which seemed half decent well there wasn't reports of rooms being ransacked put it that way.

Advantages: Very Clean, Good Food Disadvantages: A Fair Distance From The Main Resort
...The HotelRoyal Kenz in the Resort of Port El Kantaoui in Tunisia was recently my Home for 7 nights between the 2nd and 9th July 2006. The Holiday itself was a last minute booking but the Girl at the Travel Agent's said that She had stayed at this Hotel and that it was superb.
The price for the total package, including Flights and transfers was incredibly cheap at just under £200 Half Board for 7 nights and so the booking was made.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
I had seen a picture of the Hotel in the Brochure so I knew that this was one of the largest Hotels in the Resort with 405 Rooms. I also knew that it had only three Floors and that it was therefore spread out over quite a wide area within its own Grounds.
On arriving in the Resort the first point to note was that the Hotel was quite a distance from the main hub of the Resort...

If you could find a bookshop or library that organised its books by detailed topics rather than alphabetically or by broad genre, I think it's safe to say that the shelf labelled 'Happy Books About Afghanistan' would be one of the emptiest in the shop. A more
