Advantages: Good location, small and friendly Disadvantages: Poor decor and furnishings for the price of the rooms
The New SteineHotel is in a good location, very close to the sea front and close by to the shops and bars, however, when you look at the website you imagine the hotel to be of a higher standard than it actually is!! Rooms/lounge etc. Our ''Deluxe Double with a Sea View' was 2 matresses pushed together with a hard ply wood head board stuck to the wall. No lamp on one side of the bed and the sea view was only visible if you put your head outside of the window. It was hard to see the TV as it was fixed in one position and not visible from one side of the bed. Although it was clean and the people were very helpful and friendly we did expect more for £230 for 2 nights. Have to say the breakfast was ok though.
Maybe I am out of touch with the prices of Hotels but I have stayed in hotels of a much higher standard from less money in ...
Advantages: close to City centre, close ot bus routes, resonably priced Disadvantages: parking would have been a problem if driving to the hotel
My girlfriend and I had a week in Salzburg Austria and we stayed at a lovely hotel called Hotel Plainbrucke.
I really think it merits a review to share this hotel with you and what I thought of it!
The Hotel is situated in the Itzling West area of Plainbrucke which is a small district of Salzburg. We landed at the Airport and from there we decided to take a taxi trip to the hotel which took us approx 10 -15 mins I guess.
This cost us 15 euros which isn't too bad, but later on we found out the bus journey would have been free!
Upon arrival, we went to the reception and received a warm welcome from the member of staff behind the desk. We were actually an hour early for check in and we explained this to the woman but this wasn't a problem to them and we were told that we could go straight to our room as it was ready for us which I ...
Advantages: Lovely rooms, excellent staff, town is easily accessible on tram route Disadvantages: No tea and coffee making facilities, no English channels
Myself and my boyfriend Jamie stayed in Salzburg, Austria in January 2006. I booked the trip as a birthday present for Jamie and booked the hotel through www.tripadvisor.com which I found through the Google website, when I typed in the search option of Hotels in Salzburg.
The reason I booked Hotel Plainbrucke is that it looked nice from the pictures, the location seemed pretty central and the cost was affordable.
Location
Hotel Plainbrucke is located a 15 minute taxi journey from Salzburg Airport. We paid for a taxi when we arrived and it cost £15 euros. On the way back we decided to make use of the tram system which meant that our journey was free. The hotel is located about a 7 minute tram journey from town (bearing in mind there are lots of stops on the way). The hotel is the only hotel in the area of Itzling West ...
The Hotel Stein combines a sophisticated, modern design with a key location directly at the Salzach River and the old town of Salzburg, and offers a terrace with the best view over the city. With its combination of ambitious, fashionable design and the impressive Baroque architecture of the city of Mozart, the Hotel Stein sets new accents. A special highlight is the \steinterrasse café.bar.lounge” with its breathtaking view over the beautiful scenery of the historic centre of Salzburg."
