Advantages: A Bed, Good staff, Read on ........ Disadvantages: Food & Drink
Well, when I visited Milan in February, we booked to stay in Hotel Adam about 4 weeks before we went.
We got an offer on the accomodation and paid only £97 for 2 people for 3 nights which I thought was fantastic as this is a 4* hotel.
There weren't many pictures of the hotel and I couldn't find a lot of information on it, we didn't know what to expect - but not a lot for that cost!
The address of the Hotel is
Via Palmanova 153
Milan, 20132
Italy
The hotel is 6km from the city centre and 4km from Linate airport, we flew to Bergamo airport and it's not that much of a hassle getting from there either.
To get to this hotel all you need to do is get onto the metro on the green line and get off at the stop named Crescenzago.
From thios metro stop you can see the Hotel. All you have to do is to follow the walkway under ...
Advantages: cheaper than many in the area, clean, comfortable, easy access to sights Disadvantages: bathroom not great, no restaurant
Named the 10th most expensive city in the world in terms of cost of living (Mercer's Cost of Living Survey, 2008), Milan isn't generally a city you'd associate with budget hotels. However, that was exactly what I was in search of when travelling to the city for a 3-night stay in October 2008. Knowing that a large proportion of my money would be spent on shopping and eating out, I was on the hunt for accommodation that was cheap, central and comfortable.
You'l struggle to find anything that fits the bill in the centre of the city - anything in the Duomo (cathedral) or main shopping areas tends to be more pricey, or cheap for a good reason (i.e., incredibly basic). We were happy to look a little further out, and eventually decided to book a twin room at Hotel Teco through laterooms.com.

Advantages: Good Location, Great Value for Money Disadvantages: Some rooms a little noisy
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in May 2004, having booked it completely blind over the internet. Suffice to say we were more than a little nervous on the journey there, as we hadn't seen any independent information or reviews on this hotel at all.
However, we couldn't have been happier - this hotel is in a great location - only a few minutes walk from the main train station in the centre of Milan and local metro stations, yet on a small side street so while disturbance from traffic noise is limited you still feel really central. In the surrounding area are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants etc, so you've not got to travel far for anything really.
The hotel itself is great value for money - clean, neat and although marked as only 2 star, definitely deserves at least 3. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak English ...
