Agadir beach

Advantages: see text
Disadvantages: see text

its wake followed a platoon of hawkers - drink, sun-tan lotion, drugs, beach mats, coconuts, trinkets, double glazing (alright not the last one) - it was like some bizarre reversal of a supermarket where the customer stands there and all the shop pass before them. One general 'no thanks' and stern shake of the head should have been enough but unfortunately the ritual had to be repeated eight times (did the strange design on my tee-shirt really say 'I am stupid. I buy anything. I see your beach as a wonderful shopping opportunity. Of course I came to the beach with nothing. Lets haggle, beach boy'?) Turning round, I noticed that the CMO had gathered the beach gear we had assembled in anticipation of a lounge in the sun and headed off (it would be wrong to add 'back to the hotel' because it was the gesture that counted - she had no idea ...

anastasia beach hotel

Advantages: fantastic staff, lovely hotel
Disadvantages: ants in the bathroom

Cyprus was'nt my 1st choice for a hoiday this year, but Ruth my partners sister telephoned us in August 2004 to say she was getting married abroad in July 2005, and would we like to attend. Of course we said yes and so the task of booking in to the same hotel on the same board status began. Cols sister was traveling with Thomas Cook, so I called them ''no room'' they said '' Oh no'' I said. So on to my trusted PC, entered the name of the hotel in too a search engine and walla - a few moments later we was booked all inclusive in to the Anastasia Beach Hotel. After negotiating Larnaca airport, we located our taxis for the transfer and off we went through barren countryside along a stretch of road that was apparently a Motorway, two lanes and a speed restriction of 100km an hour. We turned off the motorway and past some appartments which ...

hotel Le Tivoli, Agadir, Morocco

Advantages: lovely clean hotel, friendly, english speaking
Disadvantages: none

After a relatiely short transfer from the airport, we were greeted by friendly reception staff and porters. Arrived in a huge family suite with a queen sized bed and two singles for the children, the room was clean with a lovely balcony, however the air conditioing wasn't great! Food was buffet style, great breakfasts, but were fairly repetitive, the scrambled eggs were to die for! Dinners were always great, something for everyone, even my fussy 4 and 7 year olds found plenty to eat with the large choice of dishes available, we stayed for a week and it was different every night. Buy water outside the hotel as it is quite expensive from the bar. Pool and surrounding area was always spotless, but I can imagine that it gets quite busy at the height of summer. No entertainment in the evenings meant that we were usually in bed before 10 ...
