Advantages: 25 mertres from the sea front Disadvantages: Could not really find any
I stayed in this hotel in April and found that it was a small friendly hotel right on the sea front in Carvoeiro, which in its self is a lovely small town.
The service was very good the staff always helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were clean and in good repair. Being only a small town it was not that noisey at night, in fact we were not disturbed at all and our room was next to the street. We only had breakfast but it was very good, hot, well cooked and had a very good selection. You can get other meals there as well, but the resturants in the town are very good aswell. The swimming pool was clean and warm even in April. This hotel is good value for money and is centrally located between porto miao and alberrfera. ...
Advantages: lovely clean hotel, friendly, english speaking Disadvantages: none
. The maid came every day to throughly clean the room and our sheets were changed three times during our week long stay.
The restaurant was very clean and well decorated, and there were always plenty of tables to choose from. Meals were all buffet style, and there was always plenty to choose from. The breakfasts were of a good standard, but were fairly repetitive and the scrambled eggs were to die for! Dinners were always great, something for everyone - and a different theme every night, even my fussy 4 and 7 year olds found plenty to eat with the large choice of dishes available. The cost of drinks to accompany our meals added up over the week,so leave aide plenty of money for this. Buy water outside the hotel as it is quite expensive from the bar, and there is a supermarket within shouting didtance of the hotel.
The swimming pool ...
Advantages: Red noses, cold hands and wonder galore - a must do Christmas experience Disadvantages: It gets might darned cold!!!
I was lucky enough to have a short break in wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen in early December.
This was my first visit to Denmark and I really didn't know exactly to expect, all I knew of Copenhagen was Hans Christian Anderson and the Little Mermaid.
Out hotel was on the outskirts of the city ( due to a mix up with Expedia - the hotel we were supposed to be using hadn't been given out booking!!) but there was an excellent bus service which we found very easy to use.
This review is about the little gem that I didn't realise existed in the city. I had heard of Tivoli but didn't know just what it was.
Tivoli is in fact the oldest amusement park of the world . It is said that it was Tivoli that inspired Walt Disney to build Disneyland.
The park opened on August 15, 1843 and was designed by Georg Carstensen who said ...
