The hotel also has some apartment type rooms with a second bedroom on a messanne type floor. The staff are very friendly never had a problem. Breakfast is taken in a small room next to reception. Basic breakfast of coisanntes and bread rolls but kept well topped up ... ...this for you, or the Hotel will arrange. Trastevere is a great base for a stay in Rome. You will not find any Tourist trap Restaurants as it has a Local Feel. Just behind the Hotel there is a nice square with a daily market, very good if you want to take a picnic with you. tips for restaurants at night, just wander about and pick the ones with the locals eating there, you will not be disapointed. The hotel also has some apartment type rooms with a second bedroom on a messanne type floor. The staff are very friendly never had a problem. Breakfast is taken in a small room next to reception. Basic breakfast of coisanntes and bread rolls but kept well topped up from local baker. Staff will make capachinos or hot chocolate if required. As there is usually 4 or 6 of us we prebook our transfer from the Airport by Car, it only works out about 3 euros per person more than the transfer Bus to Station then Bus to Trastevere and it is Door to Door. There are several sites onn the internet that will book this for you, or the Hotel will arrange. Trastevere is a great base for a stay in Rome. You will not find any Tourist trap Restaurants as it has a Local Feel. Hotel Location you can walk to the Tiber in 5 mins turn left and walk for 20 mins and you are at St Peters. If Lazy look for the Little Electric Bus it runs around Trastevere then to the Bus Station at St Peters. If in Rome on Wednesday that is the Day the Pope has his outdoor audience ticket needed to get onto the square, these can be obtained if you Fax the vatican within two weeks of arriving. But you can still see quite well from the back of the sqaure, they have large screens. Tips on your visit. Walk around Trastevre in the evenings. Morning go to St Peters climb to the Top (or use the lift), have a little drink on the Top of Saint Angelo ( Large round building by the River) . Cross the river bear left towards Piazza Novona, Lunch in a little taverna off the Piaazza Beter food and value than on the Piazza. That makes a good day. Save the rest for other days otherwise you will be too wacked to enjoy your evening Meal.
