...Theatre. It is so easy to get to all of Rome's major attractions and the surrounding areas on foot or using the underground or bus from this base.
Fantastically this hotel is located just next to the Republica Square and just 5 minutes walking distance from the central railway station in Rome (Termini) and Via Nazionale (one of the main shopping streets). Also a plus is that it is just 15 minutes walking distance from the Colosseum and Venice Square.

Advantages: Nothing really shone through Disadvantages: Awful beds, not great location, no added value
...was that we discovered a leak in the ceiling of the bathroom – water dripped down when the person in the room above us was taking a shower, although I’m sure that was something that didn’t happen every day.
All in all the Hotel Daniela was a nice hotel of an average standard let down by it’s horrific beds. A double room for 2 nights over a weekend is currently going for between £70 and £80 per night – very overpriced in my opinion. I’m afraid I don’t have the heart to recommend it and should we go back to Rome (we both threw coins into the Trevi Fountain and so we are fated to return …) I’ll look for something more central and with harder beds!...

As always it is tricky to know which area of the city to stay in when you don't know the place. We posted in different forums and also read the Eyewitness guidebook that we bought from www.amazon.co.uk. Many of the hotels that we looked at were located in the Termini area…and the feedback from others was that this area was a bit seedy. But we took a chance anyway and booked a room at Bettoja Hotel Nord Nuova Roma. The Expedia package included the flights from London to Rome (and back of course) and 5 nights at the hotel...
