Visiting Cuba as a couple, we booked an All Inclusive package deal to the Tryp Cayo Coco, in September 2004. I booked through TVtravelshop.com, who were fantrastic
We hadn't shopped around much and booked purely on the price.
The Tryp is a very large complex expanding around a large complex of restaurants/bars shops and entertainment. with a large main pool and swim-up bar with ample space to get a much needed drink the comlex was perfect for relaxing by the pool in the constant heat.
All Inclusive here did just what it said on the tin! everything-including international beers/drinks, more food than you could possibly eat at any time of day or night and an excellent choice too.
The large main restaurant is buffet style with a wide choice of food for whatever you fancy. Food is basic but good quality.
There are other Restaurants, some of which you had to book in advance. These included a fish restaurant, Pizzeria and an international restaurant, for those special meals.
Watersports were included also and the beach was clean and uncrowded if a little small, and completly dissapears when the tide comes in so don't nod off.
Staff here were friendly and were eager to earn tips, which were expected for nearly every service.
Rooms were large and perfectly clean, mini-bar and satalite TV were standard and the air-conditioning worked!
As a relaxing beach holiday or base to go and discover Cuba the Tryp was excellent catering for all styles of holiday.
CUBA is a country which will change drastically, currently a comunist country, run by Castro there is so much to see and do and a trip to the capital, Havanna, is a must. See it NOW before Castro goes and it all changes.
A toally un-american place. Perfect to relax Carry 1 dollar notes at all times, perfect for tips. On visiting Havana begging is common and persistant. To save money take small bars of Soap or Toothbrushes, these are rationed in Cuba and the locals will love you for them!
Cost-£699 Each for 2 Weeks, spoke with some people there who had spent a LOT more so shop around.
