Advantages: Tasty, not too salty Disadvantages: Too Moreish!
A review of a 150g packet of Jacob's Tuc Cheese Sandwich biscuits.
These are one of my, non-chocolate based, favourite snacks. The only trouble with them is that they are a little to moreish for my own good. The packet says TUC IN and I don't need telling twice! So, I thought I would share my enthusiasm for this product with you.
A Few Facts
+ Jacob's was establishe in 1885.
+ Tuc is a brand owned by the Jacob Fruitfield Food Group which was established in 2004.
+ They are made in Hungary (well my packet was anyway).
+ They are suitable for Vegetarians.
+ Once opened they should be stored in an airtight container. (Sadly mine don't seem to last long enough to get to that stage.)
ALLERGY ALERT
They contain Milk, Egg, Gluten and Sulphite.
They are produced in a factory that handles Nuts, Sesame Seeds ...
Another snack review from the appropriately named 'PIG'gypine, this time on Jacobs Tuc Cheese Sandwiches.
Jacobs have been producing crackers of different sorts for over a century and currently have 20 different styles of crackers available. Tuc cheese sandwiches come in a bright yellowy orange packet weighing in at 150 grams, with approximately 14 of the cheese sandwiches per pack they are perfect for sharing or even better for hiding at the back of the cupboard and sneaking out when no one's looking.
The sandwiches are a bit tricky to get out of the pack in one piece, attempting to squeeze them out in the style of a normal biscuit can often result in a broken cracker or a complete split in the sandwiches layers. Still a little perseverance sees a tasty little morsel in hand and ready to eat.
Now I'm not going to pretend ...
Advantages: Cool and refreshing Disadvantages: A bit artificial
Kronenbourg is a decent enough beer (for its type), but until recently, I'd never really been tempted to try their wheat beer version - Kronenbourg Blanc. All that changed during last week's heatwave when confronted with a selection of what would usually be a mouth-watering choice of ales in the pub. It was just too bloomin' hot! My eye was drawn continually to the shiny chrome, ice-cold, condensation-saturated font of the aforementioned beer.
So I ordered a tall one.
Kronenbourg started back in 1664 when Jerome Hatt produced his first barrel of beer in Strasbourg. In the 1800's the brewery moved to the district of Cronenbourg - the K was added to make it sound more Germanic and hence to appeal to beer lovers, in 1947.
The company attribute their growth to the period after WW2 when they began selling their premium Bièrre d ...
