My partner and I visited Girona in May 2007. We had pre booked the Ciutat de Girona but we weren't at all sure of what to expect. We travelled by bus from the airport to Girona bus station, (approx. 20minutes), and from there we took a taxi to the hotel which was about a 5minutes drive. There are, I believe, 2 buses an hour from the airport. The cost was around £2 i think.
Our first impression of the hotel was that it was spotless and stylish, couldn't have been more central as it was right in the heart of the old town. The reception area was modern, bright and comfortable though minimalistic. The free mini bar and welcome drink ( I believe it was a local wine) with some biscuits were much appreciated. A lift took us up to our floor. The corridor was quiet, and had a lush feel to it. Paintings on the large wall spaces.

Advantages: Could get cheap flights here, clean and well-run Disadvantages: Not really Barcelona as it is billed, lack of seating
the information desk at the airport; if you have one you can get a discount on the coach fare. The timetabling of the coach coincides with flight arrivals which makes perfect sense; you may have another hour of traveling but at least you leave straightaway so don't dawdle on arrival! The coach stops only at the main bus station "Estancia del Norte" in the centre of Barcelona.
Other destinations are served by buses from the airport, including Girona of course and the city centre is only about ten or fifteen minutes from the airport. If you arrive late and don't want to continue your journey straightaway, there are several hotels at or near the airport.
Although we were quite tired by the time we finally got to our destination we really didn't mind the extra journey too much as we had paid so little for our flights and we were fully aware ...

We stayed at this hotel in London a little over a month ago now for two nights, we chose this hotel mainly because of the central location and because it was only a ten minuite walk from the show we had booked to go too.
Check in was very quick - About ten minuites and the staff at the reception seemed very friendly.
My first thoughts on the hotel was that it looked really clean and that it was nicely decorated and it looked modern.
I was a little dissapointed with our room as it was very small and basic, our room had a double bed, tea and coffee making facilities, a tv with satellite and a small, basic en suite bathroom with a shower.
The views from our room very very poor - A block of offices which made our room dark as they were so close.
The hotel has two bars and two resturaunts, the bars were again nicely decorated ...
