Disney's Newport Bay Club
Welcome to another review about a hotel at Disneyland Paris which I hope you will find useful if you are planning a trip there. I have now stayed at four of the hotels (Disneyland Hotel, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge and the Hotel New York) so only another two hotels until I have been to all six! A lot more CIAOing needed to pay for the next trip...

Disney's Newport Bay Club is themed around a luxurious American Long Island style beach club which is reminiscent of summers in the Hampton's. It is based loosely around the Yacht Club and Beach Clubs that you find at Walt Disney World in Florida, although on a slightly smaller scale.

Newport offers much accommodation for visitors and residents within its City Limits. The current estimated population of Newport in 2005 was 139,600 and increasing all the time with Newport's growth. The main city is separated into 20 community area's which are all growing and expanding all the time but Newport has plenty to offer tourists as well. 'The Vikings' is a 1hr 51min movie from the 50s starring Kirk Douglas, available at a very low price on DVD.
Looking back in his autobiography, 'Climbing the mountain', Kirk Douglas had a lot to say about 'Spartacus'. I can see why because it was a huge movie with lots of gladiators forming an army to challenge even the mighty Romans. However, a film of his from the 50s that I loved dearly but which he hardly mentions, was 'The Vikings''. I like it more than 'Spartacus'.
Directed by Richard Fleischer, 'The Vikings' was released when I was four way back in 1958. It did the rounds of cinemas quite regularly in Birmingham in the following years which is how it was that when I was eight I found myself, wide-eyed and in awe of this movie. Why?
