Why we chose the hotel
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend city break in Rome, we were joined by his parents who travelled seperately. We looked on Expedia for a good deal and we found one with reasonable BA flights and 3 nights stay at HotelVilla Patrizi. We looked at the information and pictures of the hotel on the internet and it looked good so we decided to book it. Now we have been to the hotel, and looking back at the pictures, they are true to life and do not decieve you in anyway that the hotel looks different to what it does.
About the hotel
~~~~~~~~~~~~
HotelVilla Patrizi is a brand new 4 star hotel located in Rome. As you walk into the hotel there is a pretty sitting area full of beautiful, lively and colourful flowers. If the weather was nicer ...
Advantages: Friendly staff, clean Disadvantages: Pricey, can have a few problems
My partner, daughter and I stayed at this hotel a couple of times when we go and visit the family up there.
From the outside the hotel looked beautiful and clean and looked really big, as soon as i stepped in the doors i was weary but the staff are all nice and always had a smile on their faces.
The hotel could do with a bit of a lift inside, the rooms wasn't as big as expected from the outside but was well furnished with all your little pieces ( trouser press, tea/coffee etc)
The restaurant was nice with all your traditional food, the waiters and waitresses all know what they are doing and don't mess around, there was one complaint on the next table about a steak wasn't cooked right and the waiter offered to change it straight away, The waiter then came back out and said the steak was all from the same bit lot and it will ...
Advantages: Plenty going on for children within short area of travel Disadvantages: Public transport a bit hit and miss, weather variable at times
Accomodation was within a short walking distance of Universal theme park. Hotel clean, friendly, good service, excellent selection of fish nightly as well as a hot plate with a meat option plus the usual catering run with various options. Childrens options as well.
The park is split into two, one theme and one water park. The waterpark is ok for children, but limited for younger ones (under 5). I would advise that hire of a large water ring isn't necessary and ends up being a hindrance as there is a real risk of it being used by anyone with the loss of your deposit.
The theme park is fine and I would advise to pay the extra few pounds for a 14 day pass, this gives you the option of attending when you want without fear of expiry. Normally a coupleof hours early evening will then suffice. There is a more carnival atmosphere on some ...
