most elegant and iconic area of Madrid in the heart of the cultural, political, financial and business district. Housed in a new building that was meticulously designed to fit into its surroundings, the Hotel Villa Real will delight you with its fine materials and exquisite decoration. Especially outstanding is its magnificent collection of Roman mosaics and Greek Apulian vessels dating from the early 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD. Wood panelling, aged marble floors, painted stucco, antique furniture and state-of-the-art infrastructure make up the appeal of this elegant five-star hotel with a warm, welcoming, discreet atmosphere. The hotel has 115 excellent rooms, with twelve split-levels, five junior suites and two suites. They all come equipped with direct-line telephones, safety deposit boxes, mini-bar, TV with satellite channels and Canal Plus, fax and model hook-ups, background music, individually-controlled air conditioning units, hair dryers and bathrobes. As an addition touch of luxury, the suites boast Jacuzzis and saunas as well as terraces with unbeatable views over the Plaza de las Cortes, the Jerónimos church and the Retiro Park. Guests can also make use of meeting rooms holding up to 300 people, perfect for banquets, conventions and work meetings, along with parking, a café, bar and a wide range of gastronomy to choose from at our restaurant East 47.
Humberto II of Italy, and represents an important establishment which caters to events, incentives, golf, leisure and wellness markets. Situated in the cosmopolitan town of Cascais, this hotel represents excellence of design and the best of sophistication and comfort. Thanks to a strategically devised concept, the Atlantic Ocean can be contemplated from almost all of the Hotel's bedrooms, restaurants, terraces and swimming pools. The new and enchanting spa offers guests various services, including a Thalasso circuit pool, an ice fountain, thermal baths and a vast list of body and facial treatments which impart truly unique sensations.
5 star hotel in Cascais. This former fishing village is currently a fashionable summer destination, ideally situated within a short drive from the cosmopolitan Lisbon and from the cultural landscape of Sintra, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Among its relax-oriented facilities, this sophisticated hotel includes a new spa with a thalasso circuit pool and thermal baths, and is, therefore, an excellent accommodation choice for a relaxing stay in Portugal's coast. And, while parents treat themselves at the spa, children can have a great time at the hotel's mini club. Grande Real Villa Itália Hotel & Spa is disabled-accessible and offers two restaurants, bar, terrace cafés, pool bar, outdoor pools, games room, lounges, mini club, health club, hairdresser, meeting rooms, shops, wireless Internet access and business center.
Advantages: An exciting city Disadvantages: can get hot in the summer
...Madrid is a great place for couples or friends on a short city break.
If you are looking at staying in Madrid you could do a lot worse than take a look at the Hotel Regina. The hotel is a 3 star establishment on Calle Alcala, which runs directly into the centre of the city at Puerto del Sol. In fact this hotel is little more than 300 yards from the centre of Madrid.
I stayed in a single room (though it had two single beds!) for around £40 per night in March 2001. For that I got the room, ensuite bath with over the bath shower, toilet and sink, cable tv including pay per view movies, cnn, eurosport and sky news, a radio, and an alarm clock.
A buffet breakfast was also included. I was able to choose from cereals, coffee and tea, orange juice, doughnuts, croissants, rolls with jams and butter, and a selection of meats.
When you...

...Madrid... I have lived in Madrid for 17 years almost and I never regret having done so.
Madrid is an excellent city that offers a variety of tourism for any culture. It has a great selection of good restaurants and bars that come from national selections to international/oriental gourmet but its all superb. The nightlife in Madrid is wonderful, having loads of bars and discotheques (many of them are huge).
The best thing for me is the "football life" as madrid has home to one of the most prestigious clubs in the world "RealMadrid".
Madrid is a city with many things to see and do and it offers a diverse range of activities and attractions, from museums to amusement parks.
If you were to visit Madrid I would recommend 5 things "must see".
-Plaza Mayor (many small typical spanish restaurants + shopping)
-Santiago Bernabeu (football...

...ok i am going to give a more detail view of Madrid.
First of all Madrid is the greenest city in Europe , people don´t know that but is true you´ll find historical parks like Retiro, Campo del moro, fuente del berro,el capricho parque del oeste and on the other hand you have new parks like Juan Carlos I close to the airport and huge parks like casa del campo.
A good itinerary to see part of the old Madrid starts at the royal palace, is a towering structure that has already 250 years of history and it is considered one of the best in Europe.
Then should take calle mayor and you´ll find at your right La plaza de la villa, It's surrounded by 15th to 17th-century aristocratic mansions that have been taken over by the Town Hall.
At this point if you want you can get lost on the narrow streets or if you prefer stay on calle mayor and you...
