Hotel Villa Victoria, Nice

Advantages: Central Location
Disadvantages: Can be noisy as on busy road

...A brillaint hotel with lovely food. Next to Victoria mainline station and underground station. Also situated across the road from the bus station. 10minutes walk from Buckingham palace and about 15 from Downing street. Local shops and souvenir shops are 2 minutes walk away. The hotel is a great place for a short weekend break. Brilliant place to stay for families and couples. The rooms are a good size, very clean and comfortable. The hotel is very central with everything you need a short walk away. I would recommend this hotel greatly but can get fully booked quite easily. I would therefore recommend booking early to take advantage of this hotel. The hotel can get quite busy as conference meetings are taken place throughout the year. Advantages: lovely view from the pool
Disadvantages: where should I start?.... food, service, location...

...Villa esperia is situated in the Mazzaro part of Toarmina, that is near the sea. the city is accessible via via cable-car (lovely view on the bay...) Staying at Villa Esperia has unfortunately spoilt our holiday a great deal. Even though it was nice to have a stunning view from the pool, we found that the hotel did not deserve its four stars. the staff was not very polite, you had to be very patient because they did not seem to realise that the customer comes first ( we had to wait a lot to check in / check out/ get our keys from reception, betweeen the courses in the evening, etc...) But the worst thing was the food. We made the terrible mistake of booking half board and had to eat all of our dinners at the hotel. The food was extremely poor, even though I am not fussy. It was often cold and tasteless, certainly not cooked from fresh... Read review

Advantages: Good positioning, great staff, lovely place to stay.
Disadvantages: No food after 10pm

...As a special treat my husband took me to Stratford for the weekend to watch a play at the Courtyard Theatre, and we were lucky enough to stay at the Stratford Victoria Hotel. This is a four-star hotel with excellent facilities and very polite, friendly and efficient staff. Our double room was extremely comfortable and well stocked with hair-dryer, power points, wifi, flat-screen tv, kettle, fridge and air-conditioning (handy as we were there for the hottest weekend of the year!) The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the bathroom was very nicely decorated and the shower was wonderful - a nice hot power-shower. All areas of the hotel are nicely decorated, the gardens are lovely and the breakfast provided in the restaurant was varied, well-cooked and delicious. The only disappointment is that there was no availability of food past ten... Read review
