Advantages: Good Value short break
Disadvantages: Had to come home too soon!!

Went here with my wife,July,2009.Very surprised at reviews I've read elsewhere. These made me think again about my standards and I....No grounds for self doubt, however.(I'm a retired schoolmaster, and we live very decently from all points of view)To continue;the tour operator "Ferris" picked the resort/hotel on one of their saver offers. It was a coach holiday, and we were picked up close to home.We had a full four days/nights in resort,All inclusive.(£185 each including a supplement for one of their "Platinum" coaches.(Greater legroom, etc)).We had no problem at all .It was a good break....Our room had a large terrace(Room 10)and it was only a short walk and down five steps to be at the bar,so after a stroll following evening meal,we usually sat on this terrace for a few drinks before turning in.It was usually quiet ,but I do accept that ...

The Hotel Osiris in Calella

Advantages: Weather, facilities
Disadvantages: Sea temperature, noise

My girlfriend and I took our first holiday abroad together to Calella and stayed in the Osiris for a week in June 2003. We've had better nights sleep in Club 18-30 hotels!!!!!!!! First impressions Our first impression of the Osiris was that it was a very nice and posh hotel. From the outside it looks just like the brochure, the scenic lift is very atractive. The reception staff seemed very disorganised when we checked in; After a long wait we were shuffled in front of a digital camera for individual mugshots but they failed to tell us what they were for. It was only when we returned a couple of hours later did we realise they were for our all-inclusive identification. They asked us to return later to pick up armbands! The hotel is predominately English, although you may get the odd German and Belgian family. Most guests were ...
