Hotel Zi Teresa, Sorrento

Advantages: Beautiful views, beautiful Hotel.
Disadvantages: 15 mins distance from center of Sorrento

...This Hotel is great! I stayed here a couple of years ago. The Hotel is in Sant'Agnello which is about 15 mins walk from Sorrento (Piazza Tasso) and there is a local bus service if you don't feel like walking. The Hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and very organised. The pool is also very nice and the dining room is fabulous with a view of the Bay of Naples. Very near to the Hotel there is a small beach, some local shops and a couple of restaurants too. It is better to go into Sorrento for bars in the evening although there are a couple of small bars in Sant'Agnello on the main street which is called Corso Italia (about 5 mins walk from the Hotel) On the main street there is a more frequent bus service into Sorrento (buses every 20 mins). ...If you want to be close to the town and within easy walking distance of the town centre, The Hotel Carlton International is amongst the best located Hotels in Sorrento. For that alone it is worth considering as some holiday makers book thinking they are going to Sorrento, only to discover Sorrento is a five mile bus ride away. From this Hotel, it is no more that a couple of hundred yards to the Piazza Tasso, the main Square in Sorrento. We have stayed at this Hotel four times in recent years and on the whole enjoyed every visit. On our last vist, we noticed a distinct drop in statndards. The food was certainly no where near as good as previous visits, and satff were not as attentive and did not appear as happy in their work as they had previously. Since our last visit, I have read that several members of the Hotel Staff have left to work... Read review

Advantages: Pool, friendly staff, value for money
Disadvantages: Rooms a little out-dated

..., and breakfasts were good. The hotel is 600m from the sea - the supposed 'sea views' in some of the rooms aren't much to write home about. All in all a good basic hotel, and reasonably good value for Sorrento.
