Advantages: Fantastic rooms, friendly staff, great location Disadvantages: some of the other guests seem to think their a bit special!
...the hotel groups website, by calling a central reservations number, by calling the hotel directly and most likely through your locale travel agents alothough i wouldn't recommend this as it will work out much more expensive that contacting the hotel directly.
I would definatly recommend a visit to this hotel especially for a special occassion, the staff are always friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile, for example several times they've made food for me not on the menu just because i enquired as to whether they did do it or not. Also if you have an american express card you can often get deals on buy one get one night free in de vere hotels, and sometimes a free upgrade (the reason i got junior suites both time!)...

Advantages: Great location, nice rooms, friendly Disadvantages: Parking charge, busy area
...My husband and I stayed here a year or so ago, he took me for a surprise weekend away and I was very impressed with the hotel.
He firstly choose De vere's as they are known to have very nice, luxury hotels at quite good prices in good locations.
This location was fantastic. At first though I must admit I was a bit disappointed because looking at the photograph of the hotel you expect it to have a lovely huge green area in front of it but that is actually the park next to the hotel. The hotel is situated right in the town and not really surrounded by green area at all as the photo suggests but never mind, it did not put us off. The location like I said was in town, just a short walk down the road (Regent Street) to all the shops and restaurants so after a great day sightseeing etc it did not take long to get back "home".
The rooms...

Advantages: A clean bed, hot water, good location, friendly helpful staff, Disadvantages: Breakfast not inclusive, no tv or Kettle for tea, ltd internet use, noisy rooms
...We arrived at Hotel Notra-dame, our booking was missing & no available twin room. They booked us in Hotelde Nevers next door. We had to change rooms 3 times. 1 room was horribly shabby and had no on suite facility.
The shared toilets are located on the stairwell; a safety hazard . The shower was located on the floor above also very tiny size with no room to manouvre. It had no ventilation but there was a good supply of hot water and soap.
There was no use of a fridge, or oven to up warm food. No TV in room or tea/cofee making facilities which would have added some comfort.
Towels were not changed daily as expected, not sure about linen as we changed rooms so much. The pillows were the boster type not flat, very uncomfortable.
The rooms are not sound insulated and noisy both from traffic and other residents...

If you're the same age as me then when someone says the words "De Barge" to you, you can't help but be thrown back to the mid-80s and that awful cheesy pop song "Rhythm Of The Night". Fortunately the De Barge I'm reviewing here is far from cheesy and... more
