I went to Rome for a 3 night city break, and came across this hotel on the Internet and booked it because it was cheap and it was available last minute.
The hotel was 10 minutes walk from the main train station were I was dropped off from Rome-Ciampino airport. The receptionist spoke excellent English. The Rome was very pleasant and was far better than what I was expecting for a 2* hotel. It had a clean and functioning bathroom, double bed, good lighting and satelltie TV. As I was out nearly all day, everyday, the room did not bother that much. I was using it for sleeping and who cares what the room looks like when your knackered and all you need is a bed. The morning breakfast was excellent with fresh daily produce in there contintental breakfast that was included in the price.
The only problem I had with the hotel was that the matresses were slighly lumpy and when I got up in the middle of the night the floors were absolutely freezing. A worry I had was that the main door had no lock and anybody could walk in and the only thing stopping people from getting into the room was a fairly flimsy lock.
In terms of location, the hotel was in a excellent place. It was not in the centre of Rome with all the noise it was about 15 minutes walk from the forum and colliseum, so that was excellent.
In conclusion, this hotel was excellent value for money, I would advise it for anybody staying for four nights or less, as the beds are a little uncomfortable. But this hotel was brilliant for what I wanted and I would stay there again if I revisited Rome.
