I have to be honest when me and and my boyfriend booked to stay at the bellevue apartments on the 26th of august 02 (selfcatering), located in pueto de alcudia, it sonded to good to be true.
We wanted a place that provided lots of things for children because we were taking my then five year old son and my ten year old niece. Between what the brochures said, the travel agents and friends who had been there, this place sounded amazing.

We requested before we went an apartment on a high floor so we would have a better view, so they put us on the third floor as requested.
The apartment had one bedroom with a double bed, there was a single bed and double sofa bed in the living area

We wanted a place that provided lots of things for children because we were taking my then five year old son and my ten year old niece. Between what the brochures said, the travel agents and friends who had been there, this place sounded amazing.
When we arrived at the bellevue the first thing we noticed was the loverly gardens, our apartment (lida 1) had 3 floors. We requested before we went an apartment on a high floor so we would have a better view, so they put us on the third floor as requested.
The apartment had one bedroom with a double bed, there was a single bed and double sofa bed in the living area A kitchen with a fridge, cooking rings, microwave, kettle and plenty of clean plates, cups, cutlery, ect. There was a full bathroom with a shower which i might add was quite nice. there was also a balcony over looking the shops, bars and resturants across the road and maid sevice every other day. There was also a saftey deposit box and telephone.
On the first day after we unpacked, we went down to the pool which we were a little dissappointed about because it was really small but ideal for kids because it was shallow and had a childrens section. It was also clean with plenty of sunloungers, a snack bar and life guard, we new there were seven other pools available but decided to stick to the one by our apartment block.
The complex it self is massive, there were a lot of people staying there but because its so big you dont notice, the facilitys were great too. There was 17 builings, 8 pools with snack bars, plenty of sunloungers but get there early, a large 24hr reception with air con, cafes, bars, resturants ( the food was quite nice but not great and at resonable prices) parking, shops, a great childrens play ground, childrens entertainment, outdoor tennis, horse riding suitable for kids and teenagers, bicycle rental, games room, luggage room, a small kids fair ground, and go karts.
The evening entertainment was fabulous, there was large outdoor shows every night, they had a westlife tibute band, kylie and robbie lookalike singers, magicians, the disney show and moulin rough. They always got the crowd involved too espesh the kids they just loved it and it kept them entertained for hours each night. After the shows finished around eleven o clock, there was plenty of other things to do, horses riding, the kids playground , a small fairground and go karts, things usually went very quiet after the shows finished so we wouldnt stay out much longer after that.
The bellevue was right in the heart of things too, it was only a 5 minute walk to the shops, bars, resurants and cafes in the town and 900m away from the beach, there was a lovery boat service that run every ten miutes to the beach which only cost 3 euros return trip, it took you across a georgous lake which took no more than ten minutes, the boat service was also only a two minute walk across the road from out apartments too.
I have to say me and my family really injoyed our stay at the bellevue apartments, it had every thing you needed right there on the site, kids of all ages will love it and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. I would not recommend this place to single couples as every thing is centered around kids. Also people that enjoy quiet nights, beware this place is not suitable, as the complex comes alive at night and goes on till fairly late. Our apartment over looked lots of bars which meant it was pretty loud at night but we didnt go for peace and quiet any way but this would not suit early birds.
My only complaints about the bellevue was that there was no air con in our room which meant we had to rent fans from reception which i might add due to high demand are hard to get hold of, it took us four days to get one. The lake could be a little smelly at times too but it did not affect our holiday in any way, o and beware of the sprinklers in the gardens late at night around twelve to half past, we got soaked one night, haha, it was quite funny though. The bellevue could be pretty quiet during the day, with not a lot for the kids to do, so inless your looking to relax during the day, you do have to venture out. Every thing comes alive at around six o clock, so even though theres not much during the day it more than makes up for it at night. We had what we paid for with this holiday. I would definatly go back there again.
Just back from my holiday in Alcudia. We stayed in the Bellevue Apartments. I have to say, it was a huge disappointment. When i booked this holiday i requested a ground floor apartment. When i arrive i was giving the mirnerva 2 on the 7th floor so apart from one floor we were at the top. Inside my room i did recieve the cot i had requested however - under the kitchen sink was leaking which made the whole room smell. I did report it but nothing was ... ...constantly brush it myself as the maid who is supposed to come in everyday only came in twice in the fortnight i was there. I reported this too, not to be a pest but because the rooms werent getting cleaned the bins wernt getting emptied and i had nappies in mine which really should had to be emptied every day.
However apart from these things i had no other problem with room.
The facilities on the complex were good. There was lots of pools (which ...

Advantages: loads of pools to choose from, good staff, cheap Disadvantages: none
i went here a few years ago with my parents, brother and sister. the first thing i remember is that the canals in alcudia smell really bad at night! no reflection on the apartments, thats just alcudia!
the actual apartments were basic self catering, clean and nice maids. there are a quite a few pools and you can use any you like, so obviously the kids love that. not too far to walk to the beach, and you can also hire bikes and take them outside ...

Advantages: cheap and cheerful Disadvantages: very british resort
I have read so many bad reviews about Bellevue but I had a great time there. I went in June 2008 for 2 weeks self catering. When we arrived we were on the 2nd floor in Minerva. I breathed a huge sigh of relief to find the apartment was very clean and the towels were changed about 4 times each week. It was only 5-10 minutes to the bars and restaurants or you could walk 30 minutes to the port or catch a bus. It's a very british resort so you can get ... ...of course! I would recommend self catering as there didn't look to be too much choice for the all inclusive guests. Alcudia beach is absolutely gorgeous and only 15 minutes walk or you can catch a boat from the hotel complex. Great cheap holiday and plenty of supermarkets to buy cheap booze! ...

Advantages: Very family orientated Disadvantages: very basic rooms
My partner and myself along with my mum, dad and sister stayed at the Bellevue on June last year. We stayed in Fedra 2, all I can say about this complex it was fantastic. Accommodation: Basic, but clean and functional - just what we expected for the money we paid. I have read other reviews in which the people have said they were unhappy with the accommodation quality. My response would be IF YOU WANT BETTER...PAY MORE MONEY! We booked with Direct ... ...were happy enough. We also requested an apartment near to the ground floor and with a pool view...which we got which goes to show that if this is important to you REQUEST IT WHEN BOOKING. If you don’t ask then don’t moan when they put you on the 9th floor?
Kitchens were a bit basic but we ate out all the time anyway. The pool was busy every day and we got to know a few people, the staff we very helpful in anything we wanted to know. There is a pub ...
