House of Fraser, or Army and Navy as it was previously known, has bought business and people to Guildford for many years now. But why is it that people keep coming back? What is it about the House of Fraser experience that keeps luring them back to the store?
My nearest House of Fraser has been shut for about nine months. But, after huge rennovation, it has now re-opened it's doors and it's stunning. It has marble floors, glass bannisters, chrome escalators... the list goes on - it's a nice modern building.
Inside, there is a great collection of just about anything. There's clothing, homeware, electronics - all made by well-known and good quality makes. You can also find selections of toys, easter eggs, or other goodies depending on the time of year you visit.
There is an extensive cosmetics department, with just about every immaginable brand available, with heaps of staff to assist and in special cases give you a pampering. Basically, is everything a lady could really ever want to have.
Once you've finished your shopping, you'll probably be tired after dragging round all those bags, and probably quite hungry. So why not take a trip to the Albert Roux cafe, where they know how to serve up a fantastic plate of grub.
Now, while you eat your meal, I'm going to tell you a little more. The staff there are very friendly and attentive - they always look willing to help and go out of their way to assist you. The friendly team are very knowlegdgeable about their products, and know what's going on.
As with all big department stores, House of Fraser is somewhat more expensive than the small retailers, but you get the full experience of trying out, and hands on. And, also, you may not get home delivery from a small retailer, although you can make a saving going small business.
All the goods are very well presentedaround the store, with clear pricing. The toilets and store in general is very clean, and, during the recent refurbishment, they have added some extra facilities to the existing ones for disabled people.
But, all in all, House of Fraser is a very good store. It stocks something to interest pretty much anyone, and I reckon you could live there for a while without a problem. To cut a long story short, House of Fraser is all the best stores, in one.
Sorry rated low because you didn't really provide any information about the chain of stores, except the name change. We are happy to re-rate your opinion, as always.

Even we noticed House of Fraser when we spent our holidays in Scotland last year. Good op. Take care, Michael.

Good op - I love House of Fraser but sometimes find it can be a bit hot in there. Useful to find dresses and accessories for formal events though. Claire
