I have been shopping with House of Fraser for years and have had a mixture of positive and negative experiences with them.
On the positive side, House of Fraser has the best selection of designers / brands available in my area. The stores are well set out and have great music, although older shoppers may not be so keen on the tunes. There are a lot of staff around so if you need to ask something they are there. The clothes they have in stock are very nice, expensive, but that is nothing to do with the store itself. The store is quiet, in terms of numbers of customers, especially during the week. Overall, finding your product to buy / browsing is a nice experience.
However, it falls down when you come to pay for your item. They seem to have some issue with paying for products with gift vouchers. Seriously, more than a couple of time, they have had to phone up HR to sort the problem out, meanwhile me being left for an hour. When problems arise the staff become less and less friendly.
In conclusion, House of Fraser the best store ever for browsing, but paying by gift vouchers has caused me many issues and the staff are not as helpful / friendly as you would rightfully expect them to be.
