My wife and I stayed here for 1 night in early September 2006.
The place is easy to find, on the busy main hotel/motel/restaurant strip on the outskirts of the city.
The hotel has the appearance and feel of a motel from the moment you drive in, from the reception area to the rooms. there is plenty of parking and we found no problems getting our car right outside our room.
Our room was on the ground floor ... ...(ish), and had the usual facilities, of TV, iron/board, hairdryer, coffee maker etc, however everything looked a bit old and tired. I was concerned about security, as the doors and locks did not appear too substantial, and being round the back of the premises with the door leading directly on to the car park, I felt a little uneasy. There may have been CCTV monitoring the car park however I could not see any.

The hotel has the appearance and feel of a motel from the moment you drive in, from the reception area to the rooms. there is plenty of parking and we found no problems getting our car right outside our room.
Our room was on the ground floor at the rear of the premises. the room was clean (ish), and had the usual facilities, of TV, iron/board, hairdryer, coffee maker etc, however everything looked a bit old and tired. I was concerned about security, as the doors and locks did not appear too substantial, and being round the back of the premises with the door leading directly on to the car park, I felt a little uneasy. Some of the hotel appeared to be under renovation, with a complete wing out of service. Hopefully the renovations will spruce the rest of the rooms up.
A continental breakfast was included. There was plenty of food and drink, however it was served in a 'hospitality room' which was basically one of the hotel bedrroms towards the front that had all the furniture/bed moved out and a number of tables & chairs, fridge etc moved in. It was a help-yourself style breakfast, from cooking your own waffles/toasting bagels, to rooting through the fridge to get out the large containers of milk, juice, butter and jam.
The main draw-back to the hotel was the noise. There is a fire-house on the opposite side of the road close to the front of the hotel, and even though we were only there 1 night we were woken several times early in the morning with engines going out. There is also either a rail line or access road to the rear which was quite noisy at times.
On the plus side, it's close to quite a few restaurants and services, and being on one of the main roads into the city it is simple to get to the centre.
Personally I would not choose this hotel again in the future
