Advantages: Great location, comfortable rooms Disadvantages: Not many facilities
The director of the hotel himself describes the Husa Meson Castilla as 'a simple two star hotel, but for those who are watching their budget, it is not only moderately priced, but also well located and offers an old-world ambience'. I would agree whole heartedly with this statement, but don't be put off by the lack of more stars. As you may know, stars are awarded for facilities in a hotel and not the standard of the rooms, etc. Whilst this hotel doesn't have masses of facilities, it does offer better-than-average comfort at very affordable prices.

The location is perfect. Just down a well-lit and fairly buzzing side street off the Ramblas, it's a mere five minute walk to the centre of the action. The nearest underground train station is at the top of the Ramblas (probably an extra two minutes walk) and is called ...
Advantages: Wonderful tasty food with loads of choice something for everyone Disadvantages: A little bit far for us to travel but worth it. Needs more parking spaces
GOLDEN ORIENT BUFFET RESTAURANT
Since losing my mother last October I made some New Year Resolutions, some have been easier to keep that others, but over all I am still on track, although weight loss is only small it is still helping to getting me better; but that?s another story, the resolution that led us to the Golden Orient was to try new foods and to spend more quality time with my family. So last night we went out for a meal and an evening with my daughter and her partner, hence killing two birds with one stone, and we had a lovely night out.
~~ Our Evening Out ~~
We travelled to my daughter?s house which is in a small village not far from Stafford where the Golden Orient is situated. We arrived at what I can only describe as a business park where there are 3 pubs, a hotel, car showroom and The Golden Orient ...
Advantages: A beautiful setting with some amazing animals Disadvantages: Is perhaps overshadowed by other attractions
Whilst in Barcelona earlier this year we were looking for somewhere to visit that hadn't been on my tourist's agenda on my previous visits. Having spent a morning at the aquarium in the port are we headed for the Zoo. Located in the middle of the City it is well signposted in every direction and features as one of the main stops on all of the sightseeing tour buses routes. There are a couple of car parks located near to all of the entrances and again this is all well signposted from the city's main access routes.
Over the last couple of years we've visited a few Zoos and Aquariums and it would be fair to say that Barcelona is one of the biggest Zoos. Like many Zoos these days they are signed up to the World Zoo conservation strategy and are committed to breeding programs for endangered species. Having opened for the first time in ...
