My link to the resort.... When I was 5 years old (opps you now know my age!) my parents bought a plot of land in a little known corner of South East Spain. The primative La Manga Club was a cluster of villas around a reasonable 9 hole golf course. This small development has grown into a world reknowned sporting holiday destination with amazing facilities and 3000 hours of sunshine per year.
Although I have usually stayed in our family villa; I have stayed 3 times in the Los Lomas Townhouses as I took a sixth form fieldtrip to visit Spain for a few days over the course of three years.
What is it - in general? La Manga Clubs is one of the Costa Cálida's biggest attractions . The beautifully landscaped 1400-acre resort is now home to three of Europe's finest golf courses, a modern 28-court Tennis Centre, eight-pitch Professional Football Centre (used by the English team), a luxury Spa and Fitness Centre, numerous swimming pools and elegant residential developments, as well as the Hyatt Regency La Manga hotel,
holiday apartments, villas and a vast array of restaurants, bars, shops and services, all tastefully laid out amid palms, pine trees, lemon groves and oleander-lined streets. All this luxury makes this resort an expensive choice for a holiday.
Resort Location...... In the Murcia region of Spain (South of the Costa Blanca) the resort is situated 20 minutes from Murcia airport and an hour from Alicante airport. La Manga Club is built on the edge of a hilltop peninsula which has the Meditteranean on one side and the Mar Menor, europe's largest lagoon, on the other. Resort Facilities.... SPORT - Golf and tennis are all-time classics, and at the golf and tennis academies you could perfect your skills. If you are not already a player, La Manga Club is a good place to learn. You could also take time out and get in shape at the fitness centres, swim, jog, play paddle tennis, squash or pitch & putt... In addition, the superb climate and incomparable natural surroundings make La Manga Club the perfect destination for outdoor activities of all kinds: water sports, diving, trekking, mountain biking, horse riding and more. The excellent quality of the training facilities attract high-calibre professional and amateur sports teams from across Europe, including football, rugby, cricket, golf and tennis.
Resort Restaurants.... Dining in La Manga Club is an experience for your taste buds. You will discover more than 20 bars and restaurants, each with its own particular style and all with high standard of quality. Lunches alfresco, dinners under the stars, Mediterranean cuisine and global flavours that will take you across Europe to the Americas and the Orient.

Las Lomas Villas..... This one of numerous named areas within the resort which contain privately owned villas and apartments which are rented out at the discretion/request of the owners. The 4 star Las Lomas Villas (owned by a company called Hyatt) are perched high on one of the hillsides of the resort which give the buildings amazing views over the region and Mar Menor lagoon.
At Las Lomas Village you can choose between two distinct types of accommodation: self-catering apartments and townhouses, designed with families and groups in mind, or the hotel-style services of the deluxe double rooms.

Modern Mediterranean decor and marble flooring complement a parlor, full kitchen, bath with floor-to-ceiling marble and spiral staircase leading to two bedrooms, each with two twin beds. Spacious balcony includes grilling area.
Three Bedroom Townhouse: 150-sq.-metre bi-level townhouse suite features mountain, golf course or Mar Menor views. Modern Mediterranean decor and marble flooring complement a parlor, full kitchen, bath with floor-to-ceiling marble and spiral staircase leading to three bedrooms, each with two twin beds. Summary.... I love going on holiday to La Manga Club as you know that you will get a high standard of care and attention to detail which we all know can make a good holiday. The Las Lomas Accomodation is outstanding and really makes you feel pampered. However, be prepared to be considerably lighter in the wallet when you return!
