The Hyatt is Birmingham city centres ‘best’ hotel. It likes you to know this, and tends to treat customers as though they should be grateful for the priviledge of spending their money there. It is certainly not the sort of hotel you would choose to go into just for a coffee or a meal. The location is excellent with easy access to the airport as well as the convention centre and indoor arena. The food is of a good standard, and room service is speedy. Facilities are good, and rooms are well thought out from the business travelers viewpoint as they have plenty of power sockets and telephone points. However, if I’m staying in a hotel for a few days I like to feel relaxed and welcome. This is not the feeling the Hyatt projects.

Advantages: A premier, luxurious, worldwide hotel chain - A superb and generous loyalty card scheme - Can be surprisingly competitive and cost effective if you know where to look Disadvantages: Minimal representation in the UK
