...Sydney is a beautiful place and for people who love sightseeing its the place to be. Plenty of photographic pictures and lovely lookouts to see.
I have been in sydney for 4 months and it is just wonderful the weather does not keep you in even a winters day has a blue sky and its not that cold compared to the uk. september is when spring begins and is also sydneys dryest month it can be warm then aswell temperatures maybe hitting 27 degrees but also having cool days aswell . summer time starts in november and lasts till june . temperatures in sydneys summer can reach a sweltering 45 degrees. Most hotels and accomodation have humidifiers to keep the rooms cool.
There are lots of places to visit as i have a four year old i found the parks to be enjoyable here are some we visited.

Advantages: It's SYDNEY, y'know the one with the opera house and the bridge? Disadvantages: It's a city that not only sleeps but also stops eating hours before bedtime
...a nosy round a few touristy shops, peek into various museums and generally explore.
The SYDNEY (AMP) TOWER is a suitable alternative to the Bridgeclimb for the views it offers, and is a fraction of the price. Handily, it's located in the centre of the centre, near HydePark and with a shopping mall underneath. Excellent.
The CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY and ART GALLERY OF NEW SOUTH WALES are both well worth visiting, and are free. The first has some slightly dodgy pieces of 'art' (like some eggs being fried by giant coconut looking men which is supposed to be an interpretation of Australians 'frying' at the hands of the Bali Bombers) but also has some more normal ones, and the second has a suitable mix of more traditional pieces from Australia and abroad. It's also located next to the BOTANICAL GARDENS so you can go for an explore afterwards...

...HydePark is one of the best things about London. It is a nice break to walk through it after the hustle and bustle of Oxfors Street or Picadilly Circus both of which are within walking distance of the park. As a squirrel lover, I used to go to Hydepark with a bag of peanuts and entertain myself watching the squirrels have a laugh at the gullible peron that made their job of gathering food a whole lot easier. There are many a photo of me in some tourist's album with a squirrel eating out of my hand at HydePark. Aside from this distraction, there is of course Speakers Corner, at which one can listen to a whole lot of garbage or interesting new ideas and theories dpending on whose side you are on. This happens only on Sundays though. You shouldn't miss HydePark if you are ever in London....
