Advantages: Well it is in Hyderabad Disadvantages: It is not big enough to cope with the number of people
If you come from Hyd and you want to fly directly there rather than fly to Mumbai and then get another flight to Hyd then take Emirates to Dubai and then straight on to Hyd, and you can have a stop over in Duty free heaven!
The only real problem with Hyd airport is that it is too small and not able to cope with the number of arrivals.
I think the current situation is going to change as a new International Airport was out on tender and maybe built, ... ...meantime we have to put up with the waiting for luggage and immigration!
Also there is only one area to leave and the customs officers trying to check the baggage really don't know what they are doing. There can be a mass exodus of people leaving and the 2-3 customs officers trying to match up all the paper work with the luggage can't cope.
On our return journey out of Hyd airport, we were able to get some soft drinks and I think tea, not much ...

Advantages: very advantageous for indian people , looks beautiful, cute maintainance Disadvantages: away from city, less transport facilities from city to airport.
i once went to rajiv gandhi airport when my brother was going to south dakota state by linking flights from hyderabad. He was going to mumbai from this airport and there from mumbai linking flighta were available . So at that time when i saw that airport i was wondered to see such an airport in india .I feeled as if it was foreign country. That airport consists sush a sophisticated equippment in all regards. The maintainance of the airport was very ... ...like mumbai, chennai, new delhi were kept at an average rate and potential users can usually use this facility
. Here all the communication facilities are available but of somewhat away from the hyderabad city. if the transport facilities are provided sufficient enough for this airport this airport would be able to withstand with even international airports. ...
