Advantages: No nonsense hotel with fabulous views. Good price. Good location. Disadvantages: Doesn't have all the mod cons of a chain hotel, however it has character!
My family has been staying at this hotel since the 1940?s across three generations and it is a hotel that I will remember from my childhood. I recently returned to stay here for a family funeral and write this review based on my stay in June 2009.
The Stade Court stands proudly on the seafront at Hythe and has brilliant views over the English Channel. The art deco architecture makes a bold statement both outside and inside the hotel and more recently under the new owners has been brought into the 21st century with a modernisation program.
My father booked the rooms over the Internet on their website at a cost of £70 B&B for a standard room.
Arrival
The property is easy to find, situated on the sea front at Hythe and is signposted from the town centre. There is ample on street parking as well as the guest car park at the rear ...
Advantages: Beautiful places to visit Disadvantages: Not good for teenagers
Ok...so I have lived in Hythe all my life so this review should be pretty accurate.
Hythe is a very very small town in te South East of England near Folkestone. First things first it is not a place to take teenagers as they will get emensly bored, but there is plenty for the more mature.

Best tip for ice cream head along the prom towards the Imperial Hotel and there is an ice cream van there called Mrs Rios and the ice cream is lovely!
There is the famous (supposedly) crypt in Hythe, which is very small and cannot take many tourists at once! However, if there is not enough room you can always visit the St Leonards Church while waiting. It is a bit of a trek to get to ...

Advantages: Superb welcome and excellent service throughout. Excellent value. Lovely location. Disadvantages: Didn't earn any Hilton Hhonors points. But this isn't a Hilton! So no real complaints!
I just adore Hythe. It’s barely 20 minutes from where I live and there’s something, I confess, completely daft about spending a night in such a very local hotel. Call it stupidity - call it research – call it whatever you like. I’ve coveted this hotel for a while and it was certainly time to put it to the test. It was the first day of Amanda’s holiday and I reckoned that a perfect way to mark it would be by having a night away. Love her to bits, but she’s not always punctual, so it seemed sensible to keep it fairly local. The HytheImperial seemed to be the perfect treat!
Hythe is a quaint seaside town on the Kentish South Coast. It’s convenient for Canterbury, the Channel Tunnel and for Dover; the gateways to the continent are certainly well covered and there is much to see and do in the locale. In my humble opinion, it ...
