Easter holidays 2000-me and my Mum visited my oncle in New York. We were very happy until our way back!
First something about Iberia-Lineas Areas Espagne!
...Iberia is the Spanish flag-carrier and serves from it's hub in Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona more than 40 destinations, mainly to South America, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and some destinations in the USA and of course within Spain. Another hub is Miami,FL from where it serves some Destinations to Latin America. Since 1999 it is a member of Britsh Airways' and American Airlines' OneWorld alliance.
6 months before our journey we went ot a travel agent for booking our flights to New York/JFK. the cheapest ones was the fare by Iberia. 830DM (D-Mark, so about 415 Euros!) incl. alll the taxes. Those tickets were for that very cheap an so we booked our flights- New York, we are coming!
Half a year later, we waited at the check-in desk of Iberia in Munich Airport, Terminal 1, Modul D and received our boarding cards for our flight to Madrid, and from there to JFK. Our luggage was checked until JFK, too. I knew that we were going to fly on a Boeing 747-200Combi on the route from Madrid to New York, and so I asked for a sea
