Well im a student at Uni, which pretty much says it all. I play games, I eat food and I have a girlfriend. As a result, the things I review are mostly centred around those three things. Also I like cats and tortoises, of which I own two of each.

First of all, I have only flown with Iberia once (well, four separate flights) and that was in June/July 2008. I have no idea what it was like before then, so my review will be based simply on what i've experienced.
Fairly short flight, left late, but that was due to delays at Heathrow (in fact every flight had delays that were of no fault of the airline). There was no free meal, as the booking didn't state there would be, and there was no free drinks on offer.
The Airbus was a pretty cramped plane, with a lot of people travelling to Buenos Aires, and little legroom. Sleeping was near impossible and very uncomfortable. Water was offered for free and we got free breakfast (as I was fairly sure was mentioned when I booked). There was some dispute between a couple of other passengers and one only seemed to speak french - but so did the hostress the guy was talking to. I didn't really have any need to speak to staff but when I asked for some more water, the person I asked gave me more.
July
Buenos Aires to Madrid
The same airbus plane coming back but, since you can check in online a day before travelling, I chose a different seat to the one I had before (right at the back in a corner this time, better window view from two rows in front!). Coming back was very weird, since the plane was very empty. Meant I could stretch my legs a little more and sleep a bit better. We got two meals this time, both were pretty good and I actually felt like i'd eaten. Air staff seemed very friendly - I should put up a sign saying "No tea/coffee please" since 3 individual staff members offered me it, quite happily. I would guess because there were less passengers, the staff were not under so much stress as they may be if you had a bad experience. Again, I had free water.
Madrid - Heathrow
A delayed take off because the plane was late coming in, but it was an ok flight again, sat on my own at the back. Didn't have any dealings with any staff so I cant really comment there, but no free water or food.
I didn't talk about the airports or the delays much because these were not of the airline's control. The Airbus fleet has design issues for the A340 - which is down to Iberia's choice. The issue being legroom - I mean I dont feel comfy sleeping on flights as it is but my legs were pressed against the seat in front on both A340s.
People seem to have problems with free water. Airlines do not HAVE to give you free water - however, Iberia do on their long haul flights. The 2 hour flight from the UK to Spain was not unreasonably long, so free water for this flight I wouldn't expect. If you NEED water for medication or whatever, I would recommend buying a bottle after the liquid checks, even if it is a little more expensive. On flights between the EU and South America, I think they always give free water and there was at least one meal (and the second time two) free on the plane.
Overall I had no problems on my 4 flights so I can't really fault them too much. I lost no baggage and well, really, I have no reason to complain. Not an outstanding airline but I think for the cost of the tickets, I would fly again.
