What a wonderful, relaxing holiday we had in the Iberotel Palace. It was our first Thomson Holiday and definitely won\'t be our last.
The hotel was so clean and welcoming all staff were charming and couldn\'t do enough for us. The Thomson Rep Che was marvelous and determined that your holiday would be one to remember.
The private beach was on our doorstep, we never had a problem getting a sun bed and clean towels were provided every day. There were so many activities on the beach you could hire canoes, pedalos, catamarans or take a ride on a banana boat and these activities were all affordable (great if you have a hoard of children, or want to play at being a child yourself, which is what we did)! Alternatively, you could relax on your sun bed and soak up the sunshine without worrying about hawkers which tend to parade around many other beach resorts trying to sell you anything and everything. The beach area was very clean and the sea so warm and inviting.
The pool area was picturesque and and also very clean, the staff prided themselves on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout. The sun beds were left in military precision every night, I was very tempted to disrupt the order of sunbeds but decided against it as I didn\'t want the poor guys getting into any trouble.
We were bed and breakfast with the intention of eating out. However, we found the food in the al a carte restaurant second to none so only ventured out on two occasions. The breakfasts in the main restaurant were fantastic so much to chose from and everything very fresh.
The rooms were large and airy. Kept exceptionally clean I think the staff were in a couple times a day ensuring everything was up to standard. Clean towels provided daily and sometimes more often. Beds were turned down at night and they always made something with your towel,ie a swan and placed it on your pillow. We regularly received fresh flowers, fruit or sweeties. There were some lovely little touches.
The whole purpose of our holiday was rest and recuperation so we didn\'t venture out much. Had a wee walk around Sharm and the \'shops\'. There was not much to buy but it\'s an experience and being told how beautiful you are all the time is a real ego boost. We did venture on a diving trip and a boat trip both organised by Che which were great fun, if you love the sea and boats. A few of the people on board realised they were not sea faring people!!
But the main purpose of this review is the hotel
on which I could rant on for ages. There are no negatives, it was truley an excellent hotel. But hey why not give it a go yourselves, you will not be disappointed. Would we go back? MOST DEFINATELY.
