In terms of other facilities that is about it there is no swimming pool or gym etc.
The staff ... ...hotel seemed to mainly have Spanish guests who got much better service than us! And although I do speak Spanish they were not at all helpful with any questions.

It actual fact it is about 15 to 20 mins away by car (it usually cost a minimum of £10 in a taxi each way). It is located next to a motorway flyover in a relatively industrial area. The hotel most certainly doesn't have any views! It has no amenities close at hand as there are no bars/restaurants within walking distance.
Also, there is limited public transport to take you into Barcelona. The hotel staff were not aware of any buses but you can take the underground/metro. The nearest station is 15mins walk from the hotel and then the journey is aprox. 20 mins.
After visiting Barcelona and in particular going to areas such as las ramblas if I were to go back I would definitely stay in a hotel in this area as there so much more to do and a better atmosphere. Even if the hotel is more expensive there will still be the money saved on taxis!
