I have lived in The Hague for about 2 years now. Dutch name 'Den Haag'. Recently I stayed a night in the Ibis hotel, checking it out for some friends who were going to stay there and visit for a week. The hotel is located in the centre of The Hague, near a busy road, lots of shops, restaurants and bars. Perfect for couples, families wanting to be close to the action. Ideal as a base for sightseeing, near old grote church, dutch parliament, ancient buiildings, galleries, tram and bus stops. You may want to request a room on other side of hotel away from road if you are a light sleeper.
The hotel itself is quite modern with a large open plan bar and reception area on the ground floor. Comfortable leather seats and sofas. Lifts and stairs then go up to the restaurant and rooms. The eating area on 1st floor. I had breakfast which was around £7 for a continental, coffee e.t.c. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Overall my stay was very pleasant, my double room was a little small but with modern power shower, warm and clean. Weekend rates I think are cheaper, I paid around £48 for a night.
The Hague in this area is all lit up in winter with lights on trees and the old buildings are stunning. Well worth a visit, very romantic!
I hope this has helped you, I have tried to give a fair review and can only report on my experience.

Hi. Congrats on your first review! As with the comments below, you need to put more into it for a higher rating (if you do this, let me know and I'll re-rate it for you). No one seems to have noticed, however, what a great friend you are!! Fancy actually booking into the hotel to make sure it was suitable for your friends - what a star! :o)
