I arrived at the Ibis Hotel on March 14 on business. I was staying until macrh 19. On my second day I awoke to 15 bed bugs under my pillow and inside my bed. I jumped out the bed and inmediatley called reception to change my room. The room was changed quickly enough although i did not receive an apology from the satff or any help moving my bags from my room to reception and uo to my new room. My second room was near the smokers floor and although i am a smoker myself I dont apreciate waking up to the smell of tobacco in the morning. I decided to put it down to experience and just get on wih it. Although when I returned to my room the following night, tired from working all day i went to put my head on the pillow , another bug crawled acrros the sheets! this time i caught it and took the creature down to the reception desk. By this time i was tired as it was midnight, I showed the gentelman in rereception what i found in my bed and changed my room again! Once again with no apology from the staff. When i eventually arrived in the third room ( "the suite")after taking two trips in the lift to get my luggage from room 811, I was so scared of finding any more creatures i spent the night wide awake praying for the clock to move faster so i could get my taxi and get out of the bug-ridden building. My taxi arrived at 5 am, although before that i had to take a cold shower as the "suite" had no hot water ( and the heating gave out cold air!)!. As a journalst I have travelled to very remote place. Countries were hygene is not first on the list! but I have never had such a bad experience in a Hotel as I did in the Ibis in Earls Court London. Bad luck or bad hotel? I am writting a review in our weekly paper advising people not to stay at this hotel.

I have to echo the other comments - a journalist who doesn't know how to spell check?

As previous comment - do you get your articles proof read before publishing? - there were a lot of spelling and typing errors. With regards to the bugs - I would have kept evidence and gone to the Environmental Health Department. Lisa x
