I did make the mistake of choosing to stay at the Ibis in Docklands Excel in London. Its definately not an experience I would like to repeat. We choose the hotel for the price, located on the Docklands Light Railway line we thought it was a bargin, but what a mistake. The food served, evening meal and breakfast is without a doubt some of the worst I have eaten. The choice was poor and the food selected was tasteless. The room was okay, but it was impossible to sleep through the noise of the nearby service lift. Maybe this was just a one off, I have stayed in Ibis hotels in France and they seemed much better quality, but I won't be returning to the one in docklands.i like to repeat.
